Shameful Amazon.
So annoyed at Amazon!!! I have wanted this book for years and finally purchased it as a gift to myself. Amazon should be ashamed for selling this book at full price when it is riddled with typos. Making it unreadable! The frustration with nearly every page is awful. SHAME ON YOU AMAZON.

Wonderful account well written.
Good in depth account of the James Bulger murder. I would recommend that you get this along with My James, written by his father. The two books together make an amazing account of the tragic death of an innocent little boy, by two ten year olds.

Too many typos
I was really looking forward to reading this book...... But i can't! It has waaayyyy too many typos in it. Im actually really annoyed that i paid almost $10 for a book that i can't read! It should've been proof-read before being put up for sale!

Good book but...
This is an interesting book and a harrowing tale. The trouble is the Kindle edition is full of typographical mistakes which is atrocious considering the retail price. Nearly every page contains a spelling error or typo. Has anyone bothered to proof read this book before charging good money for it?

Every Mother's Nightmare by Mark Thomas
On Friday, February 12th, 1993 two year old James Bulger disappeared from a crowded shopping mall in Bootle, England. What followed was the most heinous of crimes committed by two 10 year old boys whose actions shocked the entire world with their brutality. Mark Thomas, a reporter for Britain's Press Association, followed the story up to the sentencing and punishment of the young criminals. This book, whilst not going into graphic detail of the crime, attempts to analyse not only the reasoning behind this crime but also the degeneration of youth and what future generations may NOT look forward to in terms of public safety. While Ralph and Denise Bulger still work through the grief of losing their son, society has to wonder if this type of juvenile recklessness might become a growing trend. 'Every Mother's Nightmare' touches on the reasons for this - broken homes, lack of parental discipline, lack of positive role models, lack of moral fiber in both homes and schools, and of course, a severe lack of positive education. Still, the question remains, did these two pre-pubescents do what they did out of some inability to distinguish right from wrong or were they really just products of their environment? Despite being tried in Bootle's South Sefton Magistrate's Court and showing no remorse for their actions, other than distress over their capture, did they ever understand the ramifications of their actions or how this crime affected everyone involved? The reader discovers that not only were they not concerned about future consequences but that their actions were carefully pre-meditated and that, when questioned, neither was willing to admit guilt but rather place the blame upon the other. The reader also has to make their own judgements in this case as Thomas, true to journalistic integrity, maintains straight facts without taking sides - something to be commended when writing about such a despicable crime. As previously mentioned, this book does not go into the gruesome details of the death of little James Bulger but is still shocking enough to move even the most ardent fan of true crime (such as myself). But don't read it for shock value - read it as a stunning expose of the collapse of morality and the loss of innocence.

Well researched
Interesting and well researched book covering a tragic incident. I found I couldn't put it down and read it in a few days. Had hands on this book years ago but passed it on without reading it. It seemed to lose its way near the end but the last chapter was good.

Excellent handling, appalling typing erros.
the author has handled this dreadful subject in a very good way. This is the most I have paid for a Kindle book and the quality of typing is the worst yet. I have only got to Chapter Two and found 11 typos already, two making the sense of the sentence impossible to understand. Truly shameful when handling such a subject and letting the author down in a most objectionable way.

A agonising read.
This recount of the events of the murder of little James Bulger will be ingrained in my mind till the day I died this book was recommended to me by a friend and to say I am appalled is an understatement. These should have got real life a very hard and painful life for what they did, the judicial system is a farce and makes you wonder at how they could of ever have allowed those boys back out to civilisation to most likely reoffend again. What kind of world do we live where two of the age of just ten can kill so callously without an ounce of remorse be put back out in society.

good read
Kindle edition - There were one or two 'word errors' as stated by other reviewers, but not that many, and certainly not enough to spoil the book. Otherwise the book was professionally written and a good read. It is a book about child murder so expect it to be harrowing, but I don't suppose you'd read such a book and expect it not to be.

very well documented we still can't seem to stop rearing ...
very well documented we still can't seem to stop rearing these little fiends now either and they grow up into Ian Huntley,or just continue their evil with expensive new identities to boot---they were ruined from an early age,and nothing can reverse that lastingly, society will always loath them both
