Sturdy and clear
Face shield works well at protecting. Unfortunately my current top strap ear muffs do not work with this shield, but the shield itself works well.

Can be difficult to assemble
I used this for the first time today and it is a wonderful face shield. The view through the shield is most adequate and as I wear glasses, it provided good clearance. The shield is contoured so it basically conforms to the curvature of your face. I can't say enough of the design and I am very, very happy that I went with this one. I must say, that when you buy items on line at times the product you receive is very different than the item you viewed on line - not this one, this one exceeded my expectations. The unit comes to you in three parts; the face shield, the head band, and the forehead guard in which the shield attaches to. It took me about 15 minutes to figure it out as there are no instructions to assemble it. if you stay away from the beers before assembly, it will fall into place. if I could do this, so can you. Buy it again - absolutely!

A great purchase.
This replaced a Husqvarna face shield/ear muffs combo that broke when I ran into some tree branches while mowing the yard on my lawn tractor. It's probably a good thing that I was wearing it!This face shield does not come with attached ear muffs however, I easily detached the Husky's ear muffs (which are good quality and themselves survived the crash) from the face shield. I use the salvaged ear muffs with the SAS Safety shield with no problems and it is likely that most conventional hearing protection systems will work with this shield - ear muffs and of course, ear plugs. The plastic visor is tougher and thicker than the Husky's and seems like it would be better protection. It also seems to cover my face better by curving in a distinct convex shape. The Husky shield had an attached heavy cloth headband that covered the front of my head above the visor but this SAS has a hard-shell plastic spark guard in the same place that offers better protection. The headband has a size adjustment knob with a detent that depresses to make changes. Once the knob is released, the band adjuster locks to prevent slippage. The SAS face shield is hinged so it can be raised to scratch my nose or take a drink. This equipment is very comfortable, enough for me to wear it for several hours.I am very satisfied with the purchase and am very confident in the protection it provides.

Fairly comfortable.
I use this face shield with my angle grinder and consider it mandatory after seeing pics of facial wounds from shattered disks. Adjustable head band. Shield tilts. Sometimes fogs up a bit. Cannot wear headphones with it and so need ear plugs instead. I trust it will stop flying pieces of whatever but cannot verify.

- head straps appear thicker and sturdier than less expensive models i have had - head band padding is better, and better qualit
This is NOT a pricey unit, although cheaper ones can be found of course. However after trying a few cheaper ones and finding them "disposable", I decided to spend a little more in hopes of not having to buy another. I think I have succeeded!Initial impressions:- lens is quite clear, seems thicker that less expensive models I have used before- lens/shield is molded, so it wraps more below the chin (Other shields are made flat, then wrap and because they are held only at the top, the bottom actually flares out). This lens doesn't hit my shoulders when I turn my head (or hit much of anything). I'll find out if this increases fogging tendency in the summer (Georgia) due to trapping my breath more...- head straps are of course adjustable, but also the lens/shield distance from the face can be adjusted in and out (not just tilt).- head straps appear thicker and sturdier than less expensive models i have had- head band padding is better, and better quality material- lens/shield securely attached to head piece, yet easily/quickly removed for replacementBarring the plastic getting brittle (as cheaper models have done to me) and breaking, I anticipate being very happy with spending and extra $5-10 for this face shield again, the plastic is sturdy so I don't think this will be an issue.

Very nice quality but for not for Bigheaded people
I'm actually giving this a 5 star rating because the quality and clarity are top notch and once you've read my review nobody else should have the problem I have.I have a large head. Not ridiculous but I wear large size hats, okay? The headpiece on this face shield is incapable of being adjusted above about a "medium" hat size. Yes, I'm sure. Myself and two engineering buddies have nearly torn the thing apart while laughing about this. I set the top band to the maximum hole (which is easy to see) and we've opened up the back unit to confirm it can't possibly get any bigger. So for now it just kind of sits way up on top of my head and gives me headaches. I may just cut the band to make it larger.I still give it five stars though as the clarity, weight, and antifog is the best I've ever used. I just wish it would fit!!!!Now you know. This is totally the item you want *unless* you have a really big head. You'll know if this applies to you. If you're uncertain about your head size then the warning doesn't apply :)If you have a really big head, you may still want this and be prepared to cut the band and explain to your giggling co-workers.UPDATE: I did cut the band and it sits comfortably on my head now. The band material is springy enough that I didn't even need to replace the gap with anything. I'm completely happy with it at this point. Like I said above, the clarity and antifog are more than good enough to make up for the slight inconvenience of the size issue.

Keep it clean.
As advertised. Fits well. Easily adjustable. Mostly I use this when operating my wood lathe. Lots of wood dust. Keep it clean. Piece of wood flew off and hit the shield with no damage. Just frayed nerves for a few minutes. Good product. I'll buy it again.

- Beats safety glasses
I wear glasses so putting safety glasses over my prescription glasses was not comfortable at all. Plus whenever I work with a dust mask on, my safety glasses fog up within minutes. This product definitely helps with that and it protects your entire face - so I only wish I had it earlier.Pros:- Adjustable - fits my head perfectly- Does not fog up as easily as safety glasses- Durable plastic- Comfortable to wearCons:- A bit bulky- A tad heavy

Lightweight on your head
I use this for pedicures. I have a electric file for removing dead skin . It flies all over me and it protects my face and I can actually have a conversation with my client without swallowing dead skin.
