Carlan wraps up Mia's complicated story with an HEA
I stopped reviewing each installment when I got up around June or July. I also stopped regarding it as porn. It becomes a romance, as our plucky girl Mia struggles against life’s obstacles to find true love and happiness. I don’t normally read romances, which are for girls, but by now I wanted to see how the story ended. It becomes clear over the summer month books that Mia and the rich, handsome surfer-screenwriter Wes are ready to commit if they can stop tap-dancing around it, if Mia’s remaining escort work doesn’t get in the way, and if Wes’s fling in her absence with a hot actress doesn’t interfere.I feared the series would become too formulaic - a new man for Mia each month, a new door opened, a way to rationalize it ending in a few weeks, something Mia brings to the guy’s life (like helping him find true love with someone else), a bittersweet departure, a way for them to stay friends. But Carlan happily manages to avoid this, with the story taking a couple of hard turns starting around August. No spoilers here. Mia’s debt to the gangster to whom her comatose father is indebted, is resolved. Having raised her little sister after their mother abandoned them and their father turned into a drunk, Mia finds family she didn’t know she had.Despite being a poor girl from the wrong side of the tracks, Mia fits into the wealthy and connected Wes’s world, and when disaster strikes Mia becomes his path back to stability. He needs her as well. She finds a new calling when her last escort job thrusts her onto a TV talk show.I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened to her - and to her surrounding cast, sister Maddy (happily engaged to a nice boy), BFF Ginelle (now involved, and usually in bed with, the brother of Mia’s Samoan date in May), her sick dad, plus all the friends she made as an escort paid 100 G’s a month and more if she banged them. Tai, Mason, Andre . . .The sex got less interesting when it became just about her and Wes. Carlan tries hard to keep it carnal - lots of graphic banging - but it lacks a certain edge. Romance readers would probably love it - it’s all in the path of finding True Love Forever, and giving Mia a real Thanksgiving and Christmas like she never had before! - but erotica readers, not so much.Carlan does a superb job creating and sustaining Mia’s brash and breezy character over a dozen stories as she confronts a dizzying array of life situations.Yeah, at the risk of losing a Man Card, I wanted to see Plucky Mall Chick from the Wrong Side of the Tracks live Happily Ever After. So sue me. Kudos.

The series will stick with you
I just finished reading this series for the second time. A friend introduced me to the series two years ago and while visiting her a few weeks ago, we discussed the series, how it had stuck with us, and I decided I needed to read it again. If you are looking to buy Volume Four, I imagine you already know what has happened since January. If not, you HAVE to read the other books first or you will not understand what is happening in these books, A lot happens in these last three books - Wes has to come to terms with what happened in Indonesia and we learn more about what actually happened; Mia works on a career; Gin moves to California to start a new life, baby Jack is born; a trip to New York brings some friends back together; the family celebrates Thanksgiving; there is a change in pop's condition; a difficult part of the journey that brings an understanding to the three siblings; a wedding and after "The End" is a "Where Are They Now." I loved Mia's journey of self discovery through all the books and how each month changed her in some way. So finish the last three books and get some closure for yourself. If you just stumbled upon these three, begin your journey in January. You will be glad you did.

Calendar Girl: Volume Four
Now is an escort trying to pay her father's debt. In October is Dr drew Hoffman a Dr to the stars and tv show host who hires Mia to be part of the show. While working on the show, she has some set backs Wes is having PTSD from his time being captive by killers. While doing both jobs Wes wants to marry Mia and plan to wed New year's day. In November she celebrates thanksgiving with her newly found brother Max and his family when she gets the, call that her father is awake and wants to see his Girls. December is Colorado where she was paid to view local artist. While trying to come up with some, great places to record for the show Mia sees her mother and is thrown back into the memories of her childhood and has to confront the past. Great series loved the books. Couldn't put down my kindle till the end.

great!
Amount of Sex- 4/5How explicit – 3/5Fetish – 0/5Romance – 4/5Calendar girl volume 3 had some twists and turns...so going into volume 4, I was wondering how everything was going to come together. I was happy to see that several of the books darker moments in volume 3 were not neglected. The book spoke of how the characters acted after the events and how they managed recovery. Many other books gloss over the after effects of difficult issues. I was very happy with how Audrey Carlan tied everything up nicely.Calendar Girl volume 4 consists of October, November, and December which can also be sold separately as each month.Enjoy!

Fantastic writing, wonderful story telling
What a fantastic series. Loved the beginning and then it morphed into more of a love story...albeit a HOT one with wicked sex scenes galore. Fantastic writing, wonderful story telling. The only thing I didn't like? That it had to end. Glad it had a HEA at least for most characters. Can't make everyone happy, just like real life. Can't wait to read more from this author.

This was definitely my least favorite segment of the series
This was definitely my least favorite segment of the series. I really enjoyed the first 2 (January - June), but the last 2 segments were like a completely different series than what the books started out as. I was disappointed with the change in the direction of the story, but if you started reading the series- you may as well finish it. I wouldn't say that the end of the series was bad, it just lost some of the hot-factor and turned into more of a sappy romance.

All four calendar book were outstanding. The journey of Mia to pay her father's debt, find herself while helping others along the way was unexpected and beautiful. The life lessons along the way really are amazing and beautifully scripted. Audrey Carlan's beautiful and flowery writing is captivating. I will definitely read more of her books and I will re-read the Calendar books in the future because Mia's journey is worth more than 1 ride!

Now that she was free. As free as anyone could be, I decided to pursue something for me. Mia decided to grab life by the horns and ride until the end when she found her place within it. Mia's decision brought her back home to Malibu, California, where she awaited the beginning of this next phase in her life.Mia's new job?Mia was to create a segment surrounding Living Beautiful for the celebrity doctor and daytime television guru. Dr. Hoffman. Dr Hoffman was known for his charming a cunning wit, average good looks, had a no nonsense lifestyle. In a city that was filled with Barbie dolls, and nothing that you touched was real, Mia set out to find beauty. In doing this Mia found a lot more that. The man I loved Wes,also the rest of the nation.Book 11: NovemberIn book eleven of the Calendar Girl serial, Mia jets off to New York City to film a segment for her new job. There were three things Mia never expected to experience this month of thanksgiving, but that is just what she received. Wes had survived Hell on Earth, and was back where he was meant to be…in my arms and my bed. Forever. There would be no breaking us apart after the trauma we experienced up to this point.Mia's new job with Century Production sent her to the big apple to interview celebrities for a special segment on being thankful. What's a girl to do when she has an entire host of celebrity friends from her past year of travels? You better believe Mia called up her friends Mason Murphy, all-star pitcher for the Red Sox, hip-hop star Anton Santiago, the Latin Lov-ah, to take part. Prepare to be wowed as Mia’s journey merges into the happy ending everyone has been waiting for.Mountains, miracles, and marriage.Mia had no idea what to expect when the producers of Dr. Hoffman sent me to the pristine white mountains of Aspen, Colorado. The town of Aspen is known for being a winter haven for uber-rich Americans. Mia knew this desert cactus was going to be way out of her element. The ace up her sleeve however, was my guy who is a high-class movie-making surfer Wes. Wes' family owned a cabin in those snowy hills. With Wes by her side forever, she’d make the most out of the experience that she had set out to find. The job was assigned under unusual circumstances. An anonymous mountain man paid a hefty fee to persuade the producers of my show to send me out for a segment on local artisans. As she suited up in my parka and favourite Ugg boots, Mia put the warmth of the California sun in the rearview mirror and headed to a winter wonderland to see what awaited her. With her newfound family in tow. Mia was prepared to celebrate the best month the year had to offer. Only until the one woman who drastically changed her life all those years ago appeared like a shadow out of pure frosted air. Her mother shattering her soul all over again.Audrey Carlan is amazing. If i could give more than 5 * i would.

Fantastic series
I have enjoyed this series a great read. I love the life lessons that are learned when you take a journey, it may be for a variety of reasons but you do end up discovering a lot about yourself. This series got that message across our and clear.I would have lived to have read more about the wedding and Wes's I interactions with Tiao, I think that could have been fun. When one door closes another opens, family is so important these two things I whole heartily believe in. Be thankful for what you have.Fantastic series, thank you Audrey Carlan.

Lost its way - Not worthy of 12 instalments
Although I liked the concept of these monthly stories, I didn't really feel she had enough to do 12 installments. This last part in particular was weak and no real story. The way it dealt with Wes and his mental issues after being kidnapped was ridiculous and all about frantic, unhealthy physical violence packaged as sex. Very disappointing last 3 installments. I would actually go as far to say really given the high price, only 3 were worth buying.
