Hey Diddle Diddle and other Nursery Rhymes (Stories in Stitches)

Quality is good for a used book. My autistic grandson loves to hear these stories read to him. We were lucky to find it as it is out of print.

Saw this at sams club but they quickly sold out. I had to have it and found it on amazon. Ordered it right away. I love the illustrations. Such a n adorable book!

Welll I guess I should’ve read the reviews, because they played me! This book doesn’t actually have stitches for touching, it’s just pictures… However the graphics are pretty good, so can’t complain too much except they’re not touchable. Anyways! Lesson learned: Always read the comments first🤦🏻‍♀️

I like it, I guess, but I thought it would have textured pages - actual stitches the child could feel (not sure why I was thinking that when it was ~$6). I tried to feel it myself, and my child copied me, or seemed like he wanted to touch, too. Font is pretty cool - computer age font. It's about one paragraph of each nursery rhyme, enough to fill up a page (so don't expect full nursery rhyme). Nice set of common known nursery rhymes. Related: a cool app with animated songs is Gigglebellies (if you allow electronics). There's also a cool pop up nursery rhyme book we like. When my daughter was born we got her this book from Sam’s Club. It has died over the years so I thought I’d order it again. This has the exact same cover but it is missing 5-10 of the nursery rhymes that the one from Sam’s club had. We are glad we have some of the book but are disappointed that it’s not the same.

Cute books for toddlers

I am a toddler teacher at a private preschool. I have the full version which my kids absolutely love. I ordered the board book for one of the kids because he is sad every time I get done reading it. I was disappointed to find that “Miss Polly Had a Dolly” was missing from it. It’s one of their favorite parts of this book. That’s the reason for the 3 stars. I haven’t compared it yet to see if anything else is missing. Bummer. :(

This book was loved by my grandson who was 12 months and still enjoys it at 16 mo. Clear pictures, Short nursery rhymes. He would go for this book all the time. He would pick out certain things on the page. I bought another for our house

Our original copy of this book was purchased from ‘The Works’ and after it got destroyed I ordered this as a replacement, it’s such a lovely book & my son loves looking at pictures & he loves it when I sing all nursery rhymes to him.It’s a great quality book. The front and back covers are nice and thick and have a soft padded feel to them.My only small issue is that it’s the USA version so it says ‘ITSY BITSY’ spider instead of ‘INCY WINCY’ which is what we say in the UK.But it’s not a big deal.😊Other than that it’s great.👏🏻

It's been more than 6 months we have this book now. My 18 months old daughter loves it. It's her favourite. She would bring this book to me many times in a day to sing her the rhymes. Also the pictures are very good. Great stitches design. (It's not real stitches :) )I am searching for other rhymes in the same design.

The book arrived promptly and is a good sturdy board book. My grandsons who are just over 2 years old love the pictures and we are learning the rhymes - it is one of their favourite books. I have recommended this book to family and friends for their children.

This is not the full version as it states but it's still a good book. I had the full version and wish I could find it again. The children love it and I love reading the rhymes
