Water Cycles (DK Life Cycles)

This book is amazing! Beautiful pictures and full of so many information, I was blown away with the amount of information in this book. I bought it for my son's Christmas and it was delivered in less than a week and it came in perfect condition.

Very interesting book with great information in it, all of my kids have been asking me to read it more frequently, and I like the short information that we are learning from it.

This book is the whole package. Content is thorough, pages colorful, and message clear and accurate.Beautiful hardcover will last all through school years as a great resource/reference.Our water, our future.Protect it. Respect it.

We love this book! My son has been very into science and the sea has his love right now. This book is so interesting and ties in so many other things to help him learn more about life cycles

Bought it for my 8-year old, but it’s informative even for me.

I'm always eager to add DK books to our collection. This is a solid choice, though probably not our favorite. My animal enthusiast was most interested when he found the section on animals.The topic of water is so broad that this book touches on several fields of science, from earth science, to biology, to how we use water on space missions. That can be a great thing for demonstrating interconnectedness, but also means this isn't your choice if you're looking for a book that fits particularly with one study.Creationists may find it helpful to know that at least one page shows a history of earth measured in billions of years, referencing "the evolution of life on earth." There are a few similar references and assumptions made throughout the book, but it's not especially pervasive. I wanted to offer that info, but it doesn't especially influence my rating.This book has a lot of great educational material. I especially like the page on cloud types, with meanings of the names from the Latin origins and combinations of photos and drawings. I'll just have to remember to bring it out as it applies to our studies, as it's not in the rotation of ones that my children opt to read on their own.
