This is by far our most popular item. Bodacious Baby holds a one gallon potted plant very nicely. These adorable little planter boxes are ideal for growing flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs. Cedar does not require painting, staining, lacquering or finishing of any kind. If you grow herbs or veggies especially, do NOT do this to the wood as the toxins will leach into the food that you are growing. These planters are made from rough cut cedar fence boards and will have rough edges and splinters. Bodacious Baby boxes also make great special occasion gifts. This planter is very sturdy and looks to be durable. It is rustic--and meant to be that way. I love the knotholes and rough hewn wood. It is perfect for my use.

Cute planter, but it is very rustic
This is a small, cute planter, but when it says rustic, it is really rustic. I don't mind the rough cedar boards as this is going to be outside as a herb garden. The leg detail is cute and adds some interest. The issue that I have is that on one of the top boards, a natural knot from the board came out leaving a hole. While it may not affect the strength of the planter, I am concerned that the hole is going to attract the fingers of small children (grandchildren) who will then either get cut - the knothole edges are quite sharp - or scraped (picture 2). There is also a small space between the bottom boards, so when planting, you will need to put down some plastic so your dirt doesn't fall through.I received this item at a discount in return for my honest review.

Very rustic but sturdy.
I don't have a lot of patio space to work with, so this planter is a good size for my needs. It is sturdy and well constructed, but has a very rough, rustic look. There are wood splinters on the ends of some boards. If you like a bit of a project, this would be a good planter to buy. I'm probably going to sand mine a bit and stain it. I would have preferred no patterns on the legs; seems like an odd choice to paint this item rather than finish it more cleanly.I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review (whether positive or negative).

Nice cedar box
Nice cedar box, bit on the small size, but perfect for an herb garden. Mine came with some large splinters that were ready to break off which is why I took a star off.I received this product at a discounted price for my honest review.
