They're Knipex, for effs sake
When you have a good tool, you can feel it. It's not about the size, or color. It truly is about the motion of the... where's this going?I'll never use those junky one-size fits all jeezless clip pliers every again.

Way better than the rest
I screwed around with retaining ring pliers from Harbor Freight for an hour, who i usually love tools from, but the adjustable tips wouldn't stay on and the pliers were just too wiggly to get the retaining clip off the AC Clutch/Pulley in my 02 Chevy Tracker. I thought about getting the other well reviewed set off Amazon from Channellock but they looked a bit bulky to fit down in front of the radiator... These Knipex worked wonderfully, I got the ring off in about 15 seconds, 2nd try. Couldn't be happier, happy to have these in my tool box for next time.

Well made precision pliers
High quality snap ring pliers but weren't suitable for my application. I needed to access a deeply recessed retaining ring on an automotive ac compressor clutch coil on the vehicle not much space in front of the compressor so went for the angled set with hope they would work. I did pose the question, what is the depth of reach from the bend of the pliers to the tips, i needed about 1-1/8", these will not do it. For anyone who wishes to know, these measure about 3/4" from bend to tips. I had to reorder a straight pair and make them work but this is me not wanting to disconnect lines on an otherwise fully charged not leaking ac system. I like the tip design of these to grip inside the retaining ring holes and I'd certainly recommend this well made precision tool otherwise which maybe prefect for your application. Cheers

Worth every penny
The quality of the tool makes the job so much easier. I bought a cheap brand snap ring pliers and struggled to maintain control of the fastener. No more, Knipex tools are fantastic, and will be a lifetime of service.
