Jim Mitchell is Jakes brother from book 1 & Avery is a great mom of a 3 yr old but she has a lot of drama and previous baggage from her former life but together her and jim are a great couple with such a strong instant attraction to each other that it pulls the reader in right from the start. There is drama, angst, fun times, deep romance and hot steamy scenes between them. While this book can be considered a total stand alone, it does include characters from the previous book ....Jim is a billionaire workaholic who runs the family global investment company along with Alex. He so needs a distraction and finds it in Avery, a frazzled single mom. Avery has everything going against her especially a drug addict trouble making ex who's also the father of Addison, her 3year old daughter. There's just something between Avery and Jim that they give into, they have a wonderful affair but it ends and they go back to their regular lives. But when Avery gets a low level job at Jim's company they bump into each other and realize they have a deep connection and so begin their affair again Jim is troubled by Avery's refusal to go for sole custody of her daughter and knows she is hiding something but since she wont reveal what it is his hands are tied. eventually the company finds what Avery was hiding and she and Jim have a falling out Ash helps her to find her way and well as with all good love stories ... There's lots of ups and downs in this story but true love wins in the end.. :)

Jim and Avery have a sweet meet cute, and end up spending time together on his estate in England. It’s fun to live in pretend world. Then reality kicks in, and it isn’t until later that pretend becomes real.I had to admire her dedication to her daughter, if somewhat misunderstand in what could happen due to her past. It was disappointing to see Jim’s reaction, especially to someone he told he loved.It’s always good when people overcome their past to find a new beginning. In the end they have a nice love story.

In this the second book of the Billionaire's Club Series we find Jim the CEO OF Mitchell Inc., a company that buys companies and helps them to expand globally or expand their companies period.com. Jim put all of his time and energy into the company his fat her built when he died because he didn't feel that marriage or settling down was for him. We find out that his mother was an addict and she would put them out of the house while she entertained her dealers or those that supplied her with drugs. He saw how and what drugs did to his mom, so he had decided he would not give his heart 💕 to any women. Then along comes Avery Gilbert and her daughter Addison which causes him to have a change of heart. This is their story and what changes they had to go through to get together as a couple or rather as a family, because her daughter Addison was prominent in this story. I loved this story, it dealt with the issue of drug abuse from two different views. Jim Mitchell's mother was the addict and it affected him differently than Avery who used drugs with her ex boyfriend and he still has a problem with drugs and she is enabling him with the guilt he makes her feel, even though she is no longer using drugs and is trying to raise their daughter Addison. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to Collin's story. Collin is a brain surgeon. This was a good read, I highly recommend this series and this book 📖📚.

Raylin Marks is amazing with storylines. I love how she portrays the main characters. The alpha male with a heart of gold and a strong female character. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I cried at the end of this one. So beautifully written .

The bad editing that made book one hard to follow in spots almost kept me from reading this book. Glad that I did! This book had a good story and was much better.

I enjoyed this story a lot. Being a girl that wanted a different father and a girl that grew up with a drug problem along other things, it pulled at my heart. I wasn’t a fan of the time jumps, but I loved it.

This book has more love in it that I couldn’t stop reading it. Great book with so many plots. Totally worth reading

I had to really think about this because I have read a lot of books by different authors. Some good and not. I think this would have been better with more of a story to it. It could have been more focused on some of the characters in the book.

Love the story, how the characters develop into a better version of themselves. Was hoping tpnread some more of it. Glad to see jake and ash again in this series

I felt that the emotions of uncertainty and fear for the future was beautifully described and the way it ended was delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will look for this author in future.

Loved this one, very matured writing. Avery is a super woman and Addy brings a different dimension to the storyline. Highly recommend. Good..

This story had me smiling and shedding a few tears all the whole turning pages waiting for it to fall apart and then be put back together. I totally enjoyed it.

Very sweet and very sad at times. I like the part where they need healing but it seemed the story flew by after that. Thank you
