Love this album, ESPECIALLY on vinyl
I purchased Memorized and then six months later purchased Hypnotized when they were released on CD in 2005. I am a HUGE soad fan, I love all of their albums (especially Steal This Album! which I feel is highly underrated) but I only have Toxicity on vinyl. So when I caught memorized and hypnotized on sale on Amazon I decided it was time for me to own these albums. I highly recommend vinyl listeners who are soad fans to pick up both of these classic soad albums… honestly, they’re probably the last albums by this band that we’ll ever get. There is always Scars On Broadway and all of Serj’s epic solo work… on top of that these guys are still touring so it’s not like they broke up, they even released 2 new tracks a few years ago. But it is very unlikely that we’ll have any new soad albums ever again.

My sweet revenge, will be yours, for the taking, it's in the making...
Everybody's going to the party, have a real good time. Well, you will have a good time listening to 'Mesmerize'. 'Toxicity' pushed SOAD's unique combo of thrash combined with classical movement and injected with Serj's Bowie-like, off key, sexy vocals, and 'Mesmerize' brings back the full impact of SOAD's talent. 'Steal This Album' was a tiny bit disappointing, with the exception of 'Streamline', but 'Mesmerize' brings back the fun, the talent, the uniqueness, and the power of SOAD, along with their poignant and truthful political messages.'Violent Por***raphy' points out how far our society has slipped when 'choking chicks and sodomy' have become par for the course in amorous behavior, even on television. 'BYOB' is one of the finest musical romps I have had in a very long time, with amazing "railroad" guitar riffs and lyrics that poke at GWB's asinine war policy.'Revenga' is one of the catchier tunes, one that I find myself humming through the hallways at work after having project proposals turned down. 'Sad Statue' is a poignant message that our symbol of liberty in New York has become a sad remembrance of something America lost along the way.'Radio/video' is a thrash/mellow combo with some definite fun attached to it. Smiles and happy fingers accompany this tune. So many changes to the beat and the music that the entire song is a surprise every time you hear it.'Cigaro' has a bit of phallic humor in it, 'This Cocaine...' thrashingly claims that there's nothing wrong with me, but there is something wrong with you. 'Question' starts out rather mellow, but develops some amazing riffs and thunder to complete it. Electronica is brought into play with 'Old School Hollywood', and lyrically makes fun of the washed-out stars who still believe they deserve the "above thou" treatment, without sacrificing the amazing, changing thrash and riffs that make SOAD so special. 'Lost In Hollywood' again makes fun of, what I like to call, the City Of The Damned.'Mesmerize' is equal to, and in places even better, than 'Toxicity'. Clearly SOAD have developed their talents without sacrificing what makes them unique. If you are leery of buying 'Mesmerize' because of the poorer quality of 'Steal This Album', stop worrying and run out and buy it. If you loved 'Toxicity', you are going to love 'Mesmerize'. Absolutely amazing rock! Favorite songs are 'Revenga', 'BYOB', 'Violent Por***raphy', and 'Radio/Video'. Enjoy!

weird glitch i guess..
Its a great album dont get me wrong, its just that whenever I put the CD into the disc drive in the car it reads it as LimpBizkit but has all the correct song names. Its not only saying that Linl Birgit made the songs but it also uas the album name and Cover image loaded on the cars touch screen. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Scratches/dirt
Looks to have been used before. Has small scratches in it. Still plays, so no problem there.
