Rich and tasty
Some can be quite tangy but this has rich flavours to it and very quick to mix with stews, without the need to cook off the tanginess as thiswas clearly made with ripe, quality tomatoes.

Not too acidic, not too sweet, just right for a base.

Awful sour taste
I used this as part of a base for a curry where I usually make my own from fresh tomatoes. It gave the whole dish an unpleasant sour tang that no amount of sugar could get rid of. I would not recommended.
