It's nicely made and works well. By that I mean it works quickly and reliably, simple easy controls. Some amusing typos in the User Manual but nothing that makes it confusing or hinders your understanding of how to use the thermometer. Click the power button (labeled "M") and it goes through a quick start up cycle and is ready in less than 2 seconds, press the temperature button and it returns a temperature reading in less than a second. Seems to provide as accurate temperature readings as good as any functioning no-contact IR thermometer can.

This inexpensive thermometer is easy to use and easy to read. It uses cheap AAA batteries without issue. I purchased three units and all worked fine. The device will not give a perfect diagnostic temperature reading since there are too many external variables involve which is acceptable. If needed I will purchase this product again.

Does not read the right temperature...very disappointed! Granddaughter temperature was over 103 degrees and your thermometersaid 98.8!!! Several we tried to use never was accurate at all. Please send new one or money back...another baby could get very sick, im happy I had the old fashion one for back up!

This your basic forehead thermometer.Pros:Color coding. (I've always been green, but it's good to know.)Surface mode - if you're looking for a surface temp, it will do that. Not sure what the application is for that, but the functionality is there.Auto Off - when you're done, it shuts off automatically. Good for me who would never turn it off and run through batteries like a fiend.Cons - not sure there are any "cons" for this device.The problem with these forehead thermometers is that unless you know your personal baseline, you may have accuracy issues.For example, my average temperature seems to be 97.2-97.6f.With the ear thermometer, it was more like 98.2 - 98.6.Now I know if I'm at 98.1 or above for a sustained period, its probably a fever. (99.1 or above being my historical tipping point for a fever)Conclusion: well priced, well designed, has exactly the features I need, and has lasted for over a month.

There is no way to calibrate this and it was off by 2 degrees. It took me a long time to discover that I was getting false readings. I finally compared it with a medical professional. When I had asked about calibration under "Looking for specific info" I was given false information that it could be calibrated.

I wasn't sure what I'd be getting because of the amazing price, but this thermometer is great! It is accurate and so fast and easy to use. It also takes room temperature. It would only be better if it had an available case of some kind.

This is a no touch thermometer. We got it because my wife and I both work in hospitals and our jobs place us at risk to getting sick. SO we relieve some of our anxiety by checking our temperature all the time. We like how simple this thermometer is to use. The screen is large and easy to read. You can set it to a surface or a body check. The only gripe we have is it always seems to under read our body temps. I have scanners at our main entrance to work and our equipment at work show our body temps to be very close in reading. This scanner always runs low. I don't know if the one we got is not calibrated correctly or if it just defaulted to a lower threshold. We find it hard to trust it because of that and will not use it to measure our body temps.
