FLIP4 Pro Package with SHALLOW, DIVE & DEEP Filters & +15 MacroMate Mini Lens for GoPro 3, 3+, 4

I was going on a cruise and wanted filters for my Akaso EK7000 camera for snorkeling and Scuba. These filters fit on a Tekcam SJ4000 dive housing for my Akaso EK7000. I used the Shallow filter for snorkeling with Stingrays in the Caymans, and it worked great! I used the dive filter for my scuba dives in Cozumel. It lists the depth for that filter as 20-50 feet. I was at 40-50 feet, and some of the photos were good, while others had that greenish tint to them. I'll play around on other dives to see if the deep filter is better at 40 feet plus water, and shots at linger horizontal distances. I am a novice underwater photographer, so I'm still in my trial and error phase. I had the macro lens and dive filter attached, so I couldn't try out the deep filter. The macro lens was great, I got some great close ups of coral, which I've included pics of below. I'm still figuring out how to use the macro lens, but I am pleased thus far. Since red is the first color absorbed by water, these filters are a must for good underwater photography.

Very poor design. They give you Allen wrench and small screws to be able to attach it and change filters. This is a poor design. A much better design would all be snap together parts. I would prefer at least the one where you have to slide the different filters in. Hence no little micro screws.

These filters definitely make a huge difference but they're pretty combersome. I had to manually hold back the one I wasn't using with my hand otherwise I'd have a filter flopping around in my footage. I wish they'd lock back when not in use. It's nice to have two filters and once but what's the point if the 2nd one is flopping around ruining all your video?

I previously panned this item for a lack of detent feature to hold unused accessories out of the way, but have found after carefully working the hinges back and forth, they burnished in and now do detent. Would have been nice if it did that initially but it got there and should be useful on the reefs.

The Backscatter Flip4 is the complete package for a GoPro user while diving. I have used this on two dive trips thus far and the red filters certainly bring the colors back to my pictures and video. I have not yet tried the macro lens but it easily screws onto the adapter. The clips themselves lock into place so as when not using a filter it will not move in front of the camera. The only slight issue was attaching the Flip4 to the gopro itself. I have the standard housing and it took mild-moderate force to fit the Flip4 onto the included adapter frame. Once you learn how to do this taking it on and off is no problem. I am very happy with this purchase!

filters do not stay in place while diving under normal easy condition. Good idea that meeds much more work. I don't need an attachment that I have to constantly hold in place while trying to photograph underwater.

Great product that allows you to switch from one filter to another. Macro lense works very good but any kind of movement will result in a blurry image. Wish you could use the macro at the same time as a red filter. But overall very plessed.

Pictures were a hundred times better with this package. Backscatter is where it's at for all your GoPro underwater photography.
