great for lifted xterra
The Bilstein 24-184908 Rear Shocks fits my 2001 Nissan Xterra with a 1" lift. They should work with a bigger lift too.The old shocks were worn out as they should have been replaced when I put the lift on my truck. These new shocks made a huge difference. The rear of the SUV is more controlled and solid. The rear sway bar was removed when the lift was added so I don't know if the sway bar would be a problem with them.

Great shocks for my 00 Xterra
Great shocks for my 00 Xterra. Able to use with my sway bar. Just unbolt one bolt from the sway bar on passenger side to push it out of the way and rebolt when the shock is installed.

Bilstein 24-184908 rear shocks don't fit Generation 1 (2000-2004) Nissan Xterras CORRECTLY. Amazon is incorrect.
Amazon states these bilstein shocks will fit a Gen 1 Nissan Xterra with the correct lift height. I don't think so.I am not sure how other posters made these shocks fit their Nissan Xterra Gen 1s, but you really can't fit them correctly even when you have the correct lift height and even when you remove the rear sway bar. These shocks are 26" in length and need to be compressed to 19". Therefore, the upper and lower "eyebolts" need to line up correctly with the upper and lower stud mounts to install the shocks correctly. Unfortunately, the eyebolts cannot be rotated to their correct position to line up with the upper and lower studs. These eyebolts are in a "fixed" position without any rotational flexibility. No way can you install these.Perhaps bilstein has made a design change. I don't know, but I would avoid these for Gen 1 Xterras.
