I actually didn't test if it works, but the internals are identical to the original, so it probably does.I'm building a digital controller and only needed this to connect to the smoker's elements (I didn't want to dismantle the controller which came with the smoker, in case I still need it).I've removed the dial components and am only using the prongs. I filled the dial hole with jb-weld.I like the plastic used. It seems a little more robust than the original.I hope no one misinterperets my image if they don't read my review. I didn't think to take a picture before modifying it. (I haven't attached a new cable because I'm still waiting for my digital controller components to arrive in the mail. I never planned on using this controller as a controller. There's nothing wrong with it, but I want something more precise than these simple anolog type controllers).

I have had no issues using this with my Masterbuilt Electric Smoker

This worked for my Smoke Hollow 26142E 26-Inch Electric Smoker. Shortly after the 1-year warranty was up, the temperature controller developed a short in the cord and wouldn't always stay on. So I got this to replace it. It fits just right. At first it kept popping the GFCI, but as long as I kept it below 3/4 or so on the dial it seemed to do OK and I could still get the temperatures I needed for smoking meats. That makes me think it is probably drawing more than the stated 1500W (which is 12.5A at 120V) when at full power, or maybe my GFCI is old (it is).

Replaced my old one no problem.

Bought it April 12 stopped working May 25. used a whole 3 times

I actually had to return this cord as it didn’t work for my smoker, I think because my heating element was broken. However it is a very high quality product and would have kept for sure if it wasn’t for my broken element.

thought I could use it on my wok didn't see that it was for Electric Smokers and Outdoor BBQ Grills Heating Element, I sent it back no ideal how it works didn't use it

My electric frying pan will not work for this part. But, found another use for this product.
