The dryer works great again
The dryer stopped heating. replaced the temperature sensor first but that failed in the first load. Replaced with a new heating element, hookup was simple. Fired up the dryer and it worked like new. I had not realized just how long I was running the dryer to dry my clothes. Now it actually dries in about an hour for a regular load instead of two or more.

LG DLE8377WM Heater Replacement
My LG dryer heater sensor went bad. I decided to replace the complete heater assembly because of the dryer is more than 7 years old. This replacement works perfect and installation is easy once you have taken apart the unit several time for repair, took about 25 minutes.Price for value is excellent but installation may be a learning curve for 1st timers. There are many video for DiY's and don't be afraid if your mechanical inclined. It's easier than you think.I included a picture so you can see what your getting in to.

Only has a two prong thermostat thing on it my dryer DLE2701V takes 3
Was expecting the part to be the same as what’s in my dryer now, seen as I searched based on my dryer model number.. replaced it today but one of the fuses on it only had two prongs and my dryer is set up for three so I had to purchase another part for the heating element.. as of right now my part isn’t working

I just saved myself $1,500.00 for not replacing my LG drier.
Everything about the product is as described. The only issue is the installation of the heating element. It's easy to mount and wire, but getting to the old element could be challenging if you're not handy with tools.I've worked/repaired my LG washing machine and now my drier. I'm happy that have access to high-quality parts at a reasonable price. My washer and drier are about 15 years old, I think I can get another 10 out of them!

Heating element collapsed onto casing, shorting out within 4 weeks of use
Ordered this product because it had the heater element, thermal fuse, and thermostat all in one, worried about not buying original manufacture parts, but thought it would be okay. Unit lasted about 3 1/2 weeks and stopped drying. Tore dryer apart and found the heater element wire had detached from the heater supports and collapsed onto the body of the heater element, which I assume caused the heater element to run constantly causing the element to get too hot and blow the thermal fuse. Bought certified manufacturer repair parts from a brick and mortar appliance store, installed, and dryer is working fine. I saw the mixed reviews and figured some people just got "unlucky," but I assume from my experience and the appearance of my heater element that quality control isn't a huge priority where these are manufactured.

So far so good
My dryer stopped drying. My husband did some research on google and determined this was the piece. With some YouTube videos to walk him through it, he had this installed in one afternoon. My dryer is as good as new.

My LG dryer DLEX5101W broke
Update 2022. So after 6 years of heavy almost daily use... it burned out again. Even though I periodically cleaned the dryer vent and always cleaned the filter... it burned out. So I bought this same heater element again changed it out. While opening the dryer, I noticed that the element was caked on with a layer of lint. Not sure how that happened as I always cleaned the vent, but now I know at least once a year, I should open just the front panel door and vacuum around the heating element to extend the life. The issue was not the Heater Element, but the design of the dryer. It's like LG designed the dryer so that it would accumulate lint and would burn out.Original 2016: My LG dryer DLEX5101W broke. It would turn on but not heat. After doing some online research, I read that the dryer heating element might need to be replaced. I never opened up a dryer before, but after watching some online videos, I was able to replace this part. Im happy that the seller shipped this item quickly as we have two young boys and do lots of laundry a week. Having my dryer not working and lots of dirty closes pile up is not fun. This part worked and I was able to get several loads of laundry done immediately after installing. The price was about 1/2 of other places I found online.Update Nov 2017: It's been well over 1 year, and it still works. I forgot about this and happen to look up some of my old reviews. I had to write an update. I am still impressed that I actually fixed this myself not knowing anything about dryers, but that this part is also holding up many loads. I now have 4 boys (twins recently added to my family) So I have lots and lots of laundry and this is still going. One thing I did not mention is when I installed this, I also took the time to install a new dryer vent and a dryer disconnect port for the tubing. I periodically disconnect the tube and vacuum inside to make sure i keep it as clear as possible to avoid it buring out again.
