It’s lovely, and I have worn it in my hair. Beautiful design and very well made. But I received 1, not 2 (and no, I didn’t return it because then I would have had “0”. (It ran out by the time it was delivered.). It was marked as a “shawl pun” but it is absolutely NOT SUITED FOR USE ON A SHAWL! The stem/pin is far too bulky - about the size of a slender writing pen or pencil with a blunted tip. If I had tried to use it on a shawl, it would have ruined to fibers/stitches.But it makes a wonderful hairpin for a bun! The design on top makes it a little top heavy so the design needs to point up or slightly off center.

These hair sticks are beautiful, and the wood feels nice. They hold my hair well. I love the swan carvings. I was worried that my hair might get caught in the carvings, but I have used the hair sticks several times, and that has not been an issue at all.

These are lovely. I would liked to have given 5 stars but unfortunately mine don't match. One is black sandalwood and one is ebony with a very dark expresso/brown color.

These are really pretty 7 inch hair sticks with the "working" part being about 4 1/2 inches long. One of them holds my fine medium thick hair which is several inches below classic length very well in braided updos. They are fairly straight, which works better for me than the curvy sticks.

Pretty hair pins, but so slippery that they did not hold well in my hair. I couldn't wear them to my Chinese New Party.

I have shoulder length hair and these sticks work great. The packaging was extremely secure any the stick feel moderately heavy.
