I got this to replace an old P5 I used to use and this is so much better and the added bonus is it fits in the old P5 case. The light is brighter and has the little boost mode which is great.

Ideal for when walking the dog, nice bright light and easy to maintain.

The torch is compact and feels premium with a robust solid metal construction.The programmable features are good to customise the lighting modes to your personal peeference, e.g. someone might want an SOS flashing sequence, but hard to follow the instructions. This was a bit frustrating at first. I looked at a Ledlenser video on YouTube and then the instructions made sense. This is why I removed one star. I would suggest providing a link to the video in the instructions. Then I would give 5 stars.Once I figured out the programming, happy days.The head of the torch needs to be turned only 15-20 degrees to go from wide beam to narrow beam.The button lights up green, orange or red, to indicate battery charge status, which is nice. Only 1 hour of charge on full power, but ti's is only a small torch. Mid beam 3.5 hours is generally sufficient, or low beam 25 hours if you want to save power.

better buying these or similar than the cheapo chinese ones that keep falling apart.Been using ledlensers ( this and others ) for 4 or more years now and in frequent use - no issues with any of themgood buys

I knew the battery was small coming into this so I can't mark it down as the run time is around what's quoted. Otherwise this is a well made reasonably bright torch which can sustain its brightness. Only wish I had bought its slightly bigger brother for the extra runtime.

The P5R Core feels and looks well made. It is not the first or only LED Lenser torch I own so I am in part comparing it to the others. For me the biggest disapointment is the beam throw. The P5R Core does not focus to a tight enough spot, compared to my P7 and P5. Because of this the usable illumination fades out at probably less than 50m. The twist to focus head action is not as easy to operate as you might think and often needs a second hand. The push/pull focus on the P7 and P5 is easy to operate with the same hand you are holding the torch with. Multi mode torches can be more fuss than it is worth sometimes, I just don't use all the fancy stuff but you have to be careful and momentarily patient when pressing the power switch otherwise you can accidentally put the torch into another mode. The special charging connection rather than a standard USB helps to keep the torch waterproof but it's also another separate cable you have to have. I am happy with the overall brightness, although turbo mode makes virtually no visible difference to usable illumination throw compared to the factory "high" setting. Battery life is what I expected considering output and battery size/capacity.

This is a neat high quality professional torch. It ticked all the boxes, 500 Lumens, waterproof, dust-proof, feels robust, rechargeable and can be a floodlight or a focussed spotlight.Best of all...it's got a seven year warranty.I've added a photo of it mounted to a safety helmet (brackets/mounts available separately).

De mogelijkheid om het verlichtingstype én verlichtingssterkte te kunnen instellen maakt het gebruik van deze lamp ingewikkeld .De instellingen zelf lukken niet; zelfs de fabrieksinstelling inschakelen lukt in mijn toestel niet.Beter is het systeem van P2R Core!

Torcia spettacolare soprattutto per la programmabilità delle funzioni. Perfetta da tenere in tasca o in valigia. Purtroppo è un po' troppo ingombrante da tenere appesa alla cintura, meglio P5R.

Die Ledlenser P5R Core ist eine recht kleine, handliche und vor allem leistungsstarke Taschenlampe. Über den starken Akku lässt sie sich aufladen. Die Helligkeit in der mittleren Stufe ist mehr als ausreichend für einen Nachtspaziergang. I.d.R. reicht auch die geringste Helligkeitsstufe, um sich nachts im Gelände zu orientieren. Durch einfache Programmierung kann man neben den Helligkeitsstufen auch diverse Blinksignale ins Portfolio der Taschenlampe aufnehmen. Das ist besonders praktisch, wenn man in den Bergen unterwegs ist und man so für einen evtl. Notfall gut gerüstet ist. Neben der sauberen Verarbeitung ist die konstante Helligkeit auch bei schwächeren Akku und die höchste Staub- und Wasserschutzklasse IP68 zu nennen.Fazit: eine preiswerte, sehr zuverlässige und hochwertige "Immer-Dabei-Taschenlampe"!
