DS699 3-Way 6 x 9-Inch Car Speakers

It is doing the job. It vibrates my trunk, I like loud music and bass but it is hard to find 6 x 9 sub woofers, so I purchased these based on the reviews, but it is temporary until I can find what I really want. It does have a good sound.

These speakers work great in my dodge ram

They arrived with a broken grill, even though the box was not damaged. When I looked at the speakers I noticed the rubber surrounds were not even attached to metal cast. Useless speakers, definitely will not hold 700watts. Amazon returned without a problem

Not all that, rubber on cone surround loose in a couple areas when received, and voice coil chirpping on me after just a couple weeks

The sound is great compared to a 1 way 6X9 and the build is solid...cheap as dirt from Frys who's out of business now. BUT:The rubber suspension is not glued down enough and has seperated in a number of places, it can be reglued but meh. The tweeter on one fell apart. The baffle came out and seperated from the driver that turned out to be a watch type metal disk diaphragm driver! The plastic cone of one completely rotted out after sitting in my stored truck for 2 years. One got sun for about an hour a day and one didnt. The sun one spider cracked and chunks came out when turned on. I guess it needs a sun shade like a cloth covering? Id buy them again as they were so inexpensive knowing these pitfalls as all are preventable/repairable but the poly cone rotting under the sun is a downer. cant see these surviving in the rear package tray under a window.
