Wow, Im shocked at the quality and functionality of this product considering it comes from a well liked company. The pieces do not stay intact while using the item which causes my daughter a lot of frustration. Unfortunately she received this as a gift and I don't know who purchased it for her so I can't return. But definitely not worth almost $40.

This was much easier to put together than it first appeared. There are a couple of different pieces and adjustments but it goes together easily. It is similar to a spirograph but you can easily see how moving and adjusting the arm or location can change the finished drawing. The package comes with about a dozen round sheets of paper for the drawings, I wish there were more, but it is possible to trace the paper and cut circles to size to use. It also comes with three pens, but I wish you could buy replacements that would work. Melissa and Doug make great products - now they need to offer replacement supplies.
