I'm not a "knife expert" by any means, but these arrived sharp and it is very easy to keep the sharpness with a steel and a ceramic finish sharpener. I have used these (2) for processing deer for the past two seasons and they are phenomenal.

Knife was sharp and looked good but when it got wet surface rust developed after first wash.
