Cut my foot sprain healing time in half
This brace was indispensable in healing a Grade 2 foot sprain that I sustained recently. I inverted my foot with all my weight on it and overstretched my fibularis ligaments and probably my peroneus longus tendon, too. I don't think that I tore anything, but it certainly is possible because my fifth metatarsal area (outside of foot) immediately swelled up, became red, and felt quite painful. I couldn't put any weight on the foot, so I hobbled, hopped, and limped around for a few days. Icing throughout the day, elevating the foot, and rubbing arnica and Penetrex cream helped the pain and swelling a lot, but I still couldn't walk right after two weeks, and the sprain seemed to be getting worse. Then, I saw a podiatrist who took x-rays, determined it wasn't a fracture, and wrapped my foot in the same configuration as an ankle brace. I ordered this from Amazon because it was made out of waterproof Neoprene so I could wear it swimming, wore it for a few days, and felt a dramatic improvement in my sprain. Within days, I was able to walk without a brace normally again. My foot ligaments are still healing, so I have to hold off on hiking and running for a couple weeks longer to be safe, but I'm convinced that wearing this brace gave my ligaments and tendons the support and break they needed to heal faster. I later learned that braces such as this one are recommended in healing ankle and foot sprains. I wear a women's size 9 shoe, and this brace fit very well. Due to its long straps and strong construction, with a generous opening for the heel, I think it would serve all sizes for men and women, up to and including men's size 12/13. It can fit under a sock, but I think it would make slipping the foot into shoes uncomfortable and/or difficult. I wore relaxed-fit Crocs flips and clogs while using it. It did not make my foot sweaty, either. I recommend this ankle brace and really wish that I had begun wearing it right after my sprain. I would have healed so much faster.

Works well for me when I'm in pain.
I have a history of surgery on this ankle for badly broken bones and have hardware in it and now have arthritis in it. I'm a74 yo female. I love this brace. Comfortable for me and gets me past the painful times.

works well for support
This is the best brace so far for ankle tendonitis. Velcro sticks super well and doesn't touch any skin areas so there is no irritation. Easy to adjust tightness throughout the day as my ankle swells. I have a narrow foot/heel so the support is a little loose in the heel area. Very bulky and will not fit inside shoe but works with sandals.

Very light support; not enough for a smaller ankle, BUT WORKS WELL FOR MEDIUM-SIZED ANKLES
I bought this brace because I was looking for something easy to put on to help support my sprained ankle. This is certainly easy to put on, but offers minimal support, so that I rarely wear it. However, for those looking for a thin, lightweight brace that offers just a little support, this may work. THIS DID NOT OFFER MUCH SUPPORT FOR A WOMAN WITH SMALLER ANKLES/FEET, BUT DID WORK WELL FOR A MAN WITH MODERATELY-SIZED ANKLES. Update: my husband had a moderate ankle sprain and purchased this, without any input from me. As it turns out, he really likes it, because it is lightweight, easy to put on, and offers enough support for him to get through a day at the office, or a round of golf with a cart (he is back to golfing after the swelling & bruising resolved, although it is still achy). It seems to work well for him because of his size; he is of moderate build and wears an 8 1/2 shoe. This probably did not work as well for me because I wear a size 6 1/2-7, and although I brought the opposing straps as close together as possible, it just did not seem tight enough. Over 7 months, I have tried 6 different ankle braces. For comparison, the Neo-G brace offers moderate support and is my go-to brace because of comfort, support and ease-of-use. I also like the McDavid 432 ankle brace with strap, which is just a bit more supportive than the Neo-G brace, but because of shoulder injuries, I have some difficulty putting the McDavid brace on. The ASO stabilizing orthosis and Swede-O easy lok adjustable ankle brace were also uncomfortable, rubbing in the wrong places, although the most supportive. The OTC ankle support brace with wraparound strap was a disappointment; it was too large to offer an support, although I ordered a small.

Just The Footwear I Was Looking For In An Ankle Support
Two weeks ago my foot doctor informed me I had a slightly sprain on my left ankle and he supplied me with a bulky and wrapped around ankle bracelet which I found it inconveniently and uncomfortably to wear at the same time. Although I followed my physician's instructions to wear the apparatus until my sprain was completely healed, I couldn't wear my regular comfortable shoes because the thick wrapping fabric used in the making of the bracelet made it harder for me to put on and remove shoes altogether. I really need a formable support other than the one I used because I need to rid myself of this painful sprain once and for all. I read quite a few positive reviews regarding this Neoprene product and its effectiveness so I decided to purchase it and give it a try. How satisfied I found this wonderful therapeutic compressor turned out after wearing for only two days straight. There was less inflamed discomfort and more pain relief which additionally helped me to walk accordingly without the concern of leg pressure as you pace. The material is made of sturdy neoprene and it fits in accordance with both my ankle and arch while the Velcro straps stay in place and offer full foot support. Putting on a shoe over the support presently is a breeze for me because not only it's durable but lightweight and breathable for everyday use. I'm still wearing the support for the duration of two months but I can actually feel my ankle is healing rapidly and the swelling is calming to the point that soon it will be gone. Very happy and totally satisfied with this holistic product and I recommend it sincerely to anyone who needs medical care in an ankle support.

Helps with swelling and support
I purchased one after suffering a terrible ankle injury (trimalleolar fracture)had two major surgeries. This was the only supportive ankle bandage I found that helped with support and swelling(I mean really bad swelling). It's been 8 months since my first surgery. I purchased one about 4 months ago when I was recouping from my first surgery. I'm now recouping from my second surgery(which was two months ago)and I just recently purchased another ankle brace since my first kind of stretched a bit not much cause I still use it but I needed that tight snug fit again. Mind you I had the first one for about 4 months till I noticed it stretched out a bit. Overall I really like this brace not bulky fits perfect inside my sneakers. I wear a size 8 in women's shoes. I have wide feet. With the swelling I have purchased 1/2 size larger in shoes. I would definitely recommend this item. I would've never purchased a second if it wasn't worth it. Five star purchase even if it did stretch a bit but hey it is made out of nylon, neoprene and spandex what can one expect. Oh and it's very simple to put on. Don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. So far neither bandage has ripped and will change my review if anything changes.

One Size Fits NONE
These ankle supports are NOT worth owning. 1. They do NOT fit properly, applied correctly, they slip around. 2. If applied tight enough not to slip about, they cut off blood circulation to the foot. 3. They truly do NOT offer "support' of the ankle. In order to offer true "SUPPORT", they would need to have some sort of support other than a piece of material, such as what the wrist braces have - hard plastic or metal, to support. There is No Way a 'one size fits all (or, most) Ankle Support system COULD, conceivably, have a proper SUPPORT system - if metal or hard plastic Were involved, it might hit the ankle bone on the side, or, across the top, etc. I purchased TWO, one for each foot. When I FIRST put them on, my reaction was one of being pleased. After having worn it less than two hours, sitting down most all of that time, they began to slip. I read the instructions, again, and tried tightening them, even though I had them on properly to begin with. They then cut off circulation. The two good things I felt while wearing them was WARMTH where the material was at, but if it were summer, and HOT outside, that wouldn't have been such a great thing, anyway. Secondly, they gave a pressure to the area where they were at, after tightening to the extreme, to keep them on/up. That felt good, up until I realized it had made my feet go numb. I have an average to slim sized foot, can wear between a size 7 women's to an 8 in women's shoe, depending on the maker of the shoe. I can not imagine these fitting a person whose feet were any wider than mine, due to the way the velcro faster is sewed onto the material (there wouldn't be enough velcro to fit the material). Neither can I imagine these fitting a person with a slimmer foot than mine, as the velcro would have not worked properly, that way, either. Thank Goodness for Amazon Return Policy. I called Amazon's 1 - 800 number, told of the problem (they don't fit properly), was sent (via email) a return label, and given a full refund once they received the item.

Great for everyday support, not designed for sports
Excellent for everyday, daylong support if you sprained your ankle or strained some tendons (my problem is tendon trouble). You can easily adjust the tightness to give you different levels of support. It's comfortable, so you can wear it all day long. Don't expect it to give the type of stiff support you need for sports, that's clearly not what it's designed for. I have a lace-up boot-style support for sports, but I can't wear it all day when my ankle's feeling gimpy. (If you have any kind of calf muscle at all, the boot-style supports dig into your calf and that's OK for an hour of sports, but I can't deal with it biting into my calf all day long.) You can't beat the bang-for-the-buck (I paid a bit over $8 on Amazon), the comfort, or the ease-of-use. I highly recommend this for everyday use because I can wear it all day long at work and it feels fine. I like it so much that I just bought a second one as a backup or in case my other ankle starts going south. Again, I'll stress that this isn't for sports, it doesn't provide enough support for that, as other reviews also make clear. But for support while you're working and just living your life, this can't be beat.

It fits!
My legs are rather large from lymphoedema and I find it hard to get a brace that fits. This one does and is so comfy. Great support too. Great quality and it looks fantastic .
