W7PRO Digital Wireless Reversing Camera Support Up to 2 Cameras with Front and Rear or Side Reverse Function, HD Image with Night Vision, Stable Signal

I liked the look of this set up and decided to give it a go. Firstly let me explain that I wanted it for rear view on my touring caravan. I had a wireless system I had used on a van. This had been satisfactory on the van but never really worked on the car and caravan. Bearing in mind this system was from early 2000 things should have moved on a bit. The main problem seems to be the transmission distance. In the van it's about 15 ft. With car and caravan it's about 40ft.So to the Autovox system.The monitor is a good size at 5 inches. Any bigger you would struggle to site it in a car. The camera is quite compact and fairly easy to site.Before I committed to fitting it properly I tried it on the bench in the garage. So far so good. I then tried the camera on a small battery pack and put it down the garden some 50 feet or so with at least two brick walls in the transmission route. What a result. Superb picture of the garden. I then put the camera inside the caravan, shut the door and went back to the bench. On the monitor was a first class picture of the inside of the caravan. So that give me the go ahead to fit the system. Monitor in the car and camera above the number plate on the caravan. The wiring was achieved by tapping into an ignition controlled wire and extending to the rear of the caravan. How you achieve this would depend on your skills and particular caravan. So the system works fantastically as soon as the car is coupled to the caravan. Despite having towing mirrors you can never see right behind. You won't believe how close some people get and you never knew they were there!So good is the Auto ox system I have bought a second camera. Yes, just as pleased. Everything works. I have turned off the guide lines to give a uninterrupted view. Highly recommended.

I bought this product just over a year ago and its installation was straight forward. Wireless is so convenient and uncomplicated because there is no need to pass wires through bulkheads or take panelling off etc. From the start it has a really clear stable screen and I have been very pleased with its function and could not fault it. I bought it primarily to make reversing and hitching up my pickup to a cattle trailer easier, which it does very well. Unfortunately two weeks ago the monitor stopped working and so I contacted Auto-Vox technical support. I would have given it a 5 star rating before but now I would give it another 5 star rating for service support. They sorted the problem out and sent me a new kit, they were brilliant and really diligent in follow up afterwards making sure I was happy with the new installation.

Installed on a Nissan Note 2016.Good things, clear display, easy to install behind number plate (top mount).What could make it better, reversing camera needs a longer lead. reversing lines should be adjustable and a touch screen monitor would be the best. Connectors for wiring to reversing light, not good instead stripped a little and joined camera lead.Does the job when reversing.

I've looked for a long time for a wireless camera solution that can cope with my massive twin axle caravan. This is it.Standard car set up is very easy and the supplied cable on the rear camera is more than long enough to fit. I placed mine inside the rear tail gate so it doesn't get covered in muck which works fine.Picture quality is very good and wide enough view without being distorted.The second camera option is the main reason I got this though.Having a constant rear view while towing makes it so much easier and safer and this kit works really well. Knowing there isn't a car tucked up behind when making lane changes and knowing you have fully passed slower traffic is a huge bonus.I added the extra camera and the aerial extension from auto-vox. In addition I added two 2 metre 4pin cable extensions that sit between the extra camera and the transmitter. This meant that the transmitter is now directly under my battery box and very easy to wire in to pins 9/13 where the caravan power cable meets the junction box.The distance from the external aerial to the camera transmitter is now only 4 meters so no different to a standard setup on a long car.Picture is very slightly jerky at motorway speed (60mph) but way better than anything else I've tried and the image quality is so much better than the 5" screen hard wired kit I was using before (and having to manually connect every time I hooked up).Over all highly recommend and more than tolerant to adding extension cables to meet the most challenging of installation.
