Pro Pack Twist & Tie Food Storage Bags Jumbo 2 Gallon 30 Count

These double size see through food storage bags are a God-send for people, like us, that like leafy greens. We eat the turnip tops as well as the turnips. We like kale, spinach, and other such large leafy vegetables. They do not fit into smaller bags. We had used the plastic bags give to carry food home, but they are not transparent and somehow leave an odd taste on 'strong' vegetables like spinach and watercress. Large leafy vegetables stay fresh and crisp for quite a while in these bags. Since they are transparent, it any leaf starts to fade and looks suspicious, one can open the bag and remove it.We bring them with us to the open air farmer's markets in the spring and summer and put the freshly purchased leafy vegetables in the bag on site. This prevents bruising the leaves and breaking the stems by putting t hem in small bags and then transferring them.I work with computer equipment and often use the bags to cover things (printers, scanners, and so on) that will not be used for a while - like over the summer vacation at a school. This keeps them from collecting dust.I completely endorse the use of these bags for storage of foods and bulking computer equipment.

I was looking for 2 gallon Hefty *Baggies* storage bags, but discovered that they are no longer being manufactured. Amazon.com listed a similarjumbo storage bag (Pro Pack 2 Gallon Jumbo bags) with the same dimensions. I was delighted, and bought 5 boxes, hoping that these bags wouldn't be heavier than the Baggies. Just received my shipment from Amazon.com and I couldn't be happier. These Pro Pack bags are the same weight as the Baggies, but are even nicer looking because they're clear plastic. I'll be buying more!

I purchased these as a replacement for the now-discontinued 2-gallon Baggies food bags. They are stronger, (slightly) thicker plastic, and are better quality than the Baggies. Note that they come 30 to a box, rather than the 20 in the Baggies box, so the price is not as high as I originally thought. Well worth it, if these are what you want. These twist-tie bags can conform to certain shapes that simply will not fit in a ziplock of the same capacity.

Bags are great, twist ties are flimsy. The bags are nice & thick. The twist ties could be better. I ended up buying & using some twist ties I found in a craft store; they were stronger.

The bags are big -- really big! However, they feel like they would bust very easily, so this is why I rate them a 4 out of 5.

Good bags, paid way too much for them. If they weren't for my mom, I would have never paid that price and ordered them.

I know they're just bags but I used one for fresh kettle popcorn I made and I'm happy with the bags.
