you need to wd40 the cable after it dries, I'd recap the screw tip too for safety

This device came and on first appearance I thought due to the size this will not work. Five minutes later I was so thankful that I purchased it. Great rodding and I think every household should have this device just in case.

This was a huge improvement over my old snake, which lacked a drum. It was much easier to control the snake and a lot easier to keep it from getting gunk all over the floor while I was snaking the drain. The handle on the drum worked very well to rotate the snake, and I was far more successful than in the past in working the snake past the turns in the pipe. Easier to store when done, too. Price was very reasonable.

I had a clog in the bath tub and purchased one of those short plastic snakes and it didn't do the job. Purchased this snake as a last ditch effort before calling a plumber. It works great. After watching a YouTube video or two (I am a very modest do-it-yourselfer when it comes to drain clogs.) this snake worked perfect grabbing the nasty clog. Not sure on the longevity of the product but the 10-15 dollars I spent for a one time use was well worth it. Saved $$ versus calling a plumber. If you have no idea what your doing watch a video, it really is pretty simple.

It worked perfectly for a clogged tub drain after some struggling. I'm a pretty handy person, but this is a bit of a bear to handle, so I have to knock a star off for that. I would have preferred a larger handle and a more ergonomic wing nut.That said, it was well worth the price.

had a cloth stuck down my bathtub drain. played around with this think 8-10x, and never hooked the cloth. then bought a $3 piece of plastic with hooks at home depot and that did the job. for whatever reason the hook on this never caught the cloth. it likely works well on hair however. also, it is not intuitive how to thread and bring the metal cord back in. does not appear to be shoddily made.

Handy & compact little drain auger... works well for tub and sink drains. Fairly easy to use... only a minimum of wrestling required. Makes regular drain maintenance convenient and easy... twice a year... 30 minutes and done. both tubs. And no harsh chemicals.

It worked as expected, and worth every penny. It will make very sharp bends in a 2 inch pipe. I would tell a friend to buy this tool.

The product is good and value for money. But after first usage ,clean thoroughly ,dry it. Apply white grease all along the snake wire , wind inside and keep safe for next use. If you do not grease it , then you won't be able to use the product safely next time. The quality of steel is not so good.

Very VERY pleased with this purchase! We have been fighting a clogged drain for months and have probably poured $25 worth of Draino into it to no effect. We were debating whether to call in a plumber or to try and buy a snake because we were worried that the snake would be very expensive to purchase. Bought for all drains including the toilets. It scratched the hell out of our toilet.Also it is a bit of a pain in the butt to put away back into the housing!

If you’ve ever called a plumber you know how expensive it can get. This item literally saved my hundreds of dollars. After doing my clogged bathtub drain I also did my parents shower. Totally worth it, just find videos on YouTube on how to use it.
