Great picks for autoharp!
Great thumb pick! I ordered these to use with my new autoharp. Was previously using a steel thumb pick, but the noise of the steel pick sliding across the strings bugged me. This speed pick isn’t the stiffest version (it is medium stiffness), but it is soft enough that it glides across the strings with virtually no pick noise, but still produces nice, crisp tones from the strings. It fits my thumb very well, but I may play around with heat to customize the fit a bit. Since there are 8 picks in the order, I have enough of them to try customizing one or two.

Think I've finally found THE thumb pick for me
I don't use a thumb pick a lot when playing guitar, but it's a fun alternative to mess around with.I settled on the Fred Kelly brand a while back, yet still always wanted a thumb pick with the most unobtrusive business end possible.I think these small bladed 'speed' thumb picks are it!As someone else here said, the picking part is longish, but I'm guessing they make 'em that way so that people can file them down to their personal preference.Being made of that wonderful Delrin material, they're pretty easy to file down to just so. Plus, I can 'flex bend' these "large" size thumb picks to comfortably fit my medium sized guy thumb. They've never everbroke on me.Anyway, now I got a thumb pick that has just an eensy amount of picking nub sticking out, which is awesome! Can't up pick with it predictably, but if I do a clumsy upstroke, it won't go flying off my thumb either. If you have the inclination, these are worth experimenting with. :)

The only pick I buy
I play lap steel guitar and I've always loved the way these fit and feel. I've never had one "fly off".

Fine for downpicking
Not good for up strums. Hard to control: snags strings, too loud.Basically useless for what I'm trying to do (learn Steve Howe's "The Clap", which has lots of strumming in it).Just my luck, I order one set, Amazon sends me two (one was supposed to be Slick Picks), says I can keep the extra set, but think I'll just throw both in the trash. Also sent me a pack of wrong size Bumblebees in the same order, so my big thumbpick order was a complete waste. Amazon's supposed to replace the Slicks and Bumblebees soon, we'll see.

Comfortable and secure. Finally found “my” picks.
These are much more comfortable than the bumble bee picks. Although these are not adjustable, the tip of the pick which contacts the string is rounded and slightly angled. Works great. I cannot use fingers on my right hand due to disability and this pick let’s me play without dropping. I like the black mountain picks-but the direct point aggressive attack is not to my liking. These give just a bit of an angle to help slide across the strings. And the small surface co tact area decreases annoying plastic string contact noise.

Can't go back to other style of thumb picks after these...
I got these in my local music store a while ago, and I have not been able to go back to the more traditional style thumb pick since. The precision is excellent and they add a great pop to the string like a regular pick, but without feeling clunky or in the way like some thumb picks do. Might just be my style, but they suit said style well. I had only found medium size before, but these large Medium are more comfortable on the thumb. However, they are slightly longer so they feel closer to the traditional style, but the trade off for thumb comfort and not feeeling like i need to take it off between songs so the tip of my thumb doesnt go to sleep is worth it. I might even sand one down a bit as an experiment.WORTH A TRY if you have never used them. If you have large thumbs, definitely get the large size!
