I wish I would have done more research on this supplement. It had a terrible taste and strange consistency. I stopped taking it once I saw that it was already in my Amazing Grass Chocolate drink.

spirulina has long been one of my favorite supplements, though I've usually gotten the powder and used it in smoothies or guacamole. I've also mixed it into the cats' food. for some reason I didn't replace it the last time I ran out, probably a year ago. these past few months have been extremely stressful. too much work, not enough sleep, and I haven't been eating as well as I should. no junk food, but some days I've had no time, energy, or appetite for more than a piece of fruit and a piece of bread. and vitamins/supplements.when I received an offer to try these spirulina tablets at a discount in exchange for an honest review I grabbed them. my appetite heads south in the summer heat, and I figured the spirulina (and moringa) would pick up the nutritional slack. I've been taking either two or four per day (on the four days it's two when I awaken and two more about halfway through my very long day), it's been about a week and a half, and I am starting to feel a bit more "normal" and less burned out.definitely some good spirulina! kind of like having a great salad in a couple of pills, but it still shouldn't take the place of regular meals with lots of vegetables. look at me not practicing what I preach. but sometimes it just ain't happening. spirulina is perfect in a pinch, during crunch times, but it's even better when used in addition to healthy meals and snacks.

I have been wanting to buy spirulina powder to mix into smoothies for a while now, because of all the great benefits, but I know that having a tablet will assure that I actually take the supplement every day. The 120 500mg tablets come in a very nice glass bottle. The recommended serving is 4 tablets/day (making the bottle a 1 month supply). I will only take 2 because I eat a very healthy, supplemented diet, and I also use another greens powder often.The product is certified organic and tested for contaminants. Very pleased with the quality and no issues receiving the product. The actual tablets are like a disc, and I have no problem swallowing them at all. Overall, great product. I did receive it at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest review.***TIP: If you do choose to take the recommended 4 tablets, splitting into 2 doses of 2 tablets throughout the day will allow for better absorption & utilization.
