I enjoyed this beard butter very much. It leaves my beard feeling noticeably softer and healthier. The texture is really like whipped butter, and it has a nice subtle scent. I really like using beard butter as it doesn't have an oily feel to it like beard balms do. An added bonus is it seems to keep any scraggly unruly hairs in check so it can be used to groom your beard as well. 4 stars because the price point for me is unfortunately a little to high for a small container and I can't see myself purchasing again due to that. Unfortunately, not what I'm looking for. While I was somewhat ready to make peace with the idea of the oil content (which is actually undesirable in my mind), this stuff is waxy. I just can't deal with wax. What I really want is a facial hair <i>straightener.</i> Something that will relax or remove the curliness/kinkiness of the individual hair shafts, and preferably semi-permanent so I don't have to mess with it every day. Think "Chinese Kung Fu Master" beard. Surely someone makes a product like that?

This is a really nice product. I have purchased beard shampoo and conditioner before but never bought a leave in conditioner. I usually opt for the oil or balm as my go to option when looking for leave in product. So I got this to try and was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting it to be sticky or to oily but it was neither. I applied a small amount on my palms (about the size of a dime) and rubbed it into my beard. First things, no scent (which is awesome). I have a hard time finding scents that don’t overly annoy me throughout the day and love when something is not scented. After application my hands were a bit oily so I had to clean them. By the time I finished that, I noticed my beard was already dry and did not have any oil residue. After another 15 minutes or so I noticed that it was softer to the touch and easier to manage while combing my beard back. The only downside I noticed was that it did not seem to last throughout the whole day. Not a huge issue, but I am used to having the oil / balm in all the way through my work day. When I got home I washed my face and reapplied the conditioner. It actually feels really nice on the skin. I have this for around 4 days now and have been using it consistently. Kind of hooked now and even take it with me to work in case I need to reapply. Beard feels softer, looks nicer and makes me more comfortable during work knowing that I look more groomed. My husband's beard isn't particularly scratchy to begin with, but it most certainly can be pokey, which can be not so fun sometimes. But it sure is nice to look at, so it's worth it. I didn't know there was such a thing as leave in conditioner for beards, but I'm glad I found it. It doesn't make his beard oily or greasy looking. As a matter of fact, it doesn't really look a whole lot different than it normally does. Maybe a little healthier, but that's about it. But after he used it a few times, it felt a lot softer on a regular basis, and the hairs weren't as pokey or stabby. It's a very nice change, and really takes away the one single thing I didn't like about him having a beard. He has other products that he uses that have a scent that I really like, and I was concerned this would interfere with those, but this is pretty much unscented so that's another added bonus!I was provided a discount code on this product in exchange for my honest review.
