Great line!
Since it was time and needed to change out my monofilament fishing line in my reel, I decided to change to braid. It's an ultra light setup, so the choices for 4# test were limited. I found this brand and it had excellent ratings, not the cheapest, but appeared to be very good. I received it quick, spooled up my reel, and tested it out a few days later. My opinion is that this line is excellent! Super thin, never got a wind knot, very sensitive and strong! I recommend this line!

Fishing line review.. 40lb
The braid seems like it should be good for my saltwater fishing..I got it to match with my Daiwa saltiga and the Ocean Blue color is a perfect match for my reel... I haven't fished the line yet but I see alot of compliments about the color fading wich I don't like... it's definitely affordable and it comes with a floro top shot u can add so u can have alittle stretch wich is good..I hope it is as abrasion resistant as they advertise it to be since I do alot of winter wreck fishing in the noreast.... it feels really smooth and it looks great on my reel,a prefect match for any Saltiga so let's name it Saltiga blue... this review is based on color of the line and the feel of the line.have not fished with it yet...

Will not lift 2 gallons (~16 pounds)
This is nice, cheap braid. Perfect for that sort of thing. I spool it up on my ice fishing traps that I use for mostly largemouth, perch, burbot, pickerel…These are just my experiences….It’s knot holding power is 5/5, I know this because I’ve never had a knot fail. I tested this line by tying numerous knots (palomar, uni, and improved clinch) to a large hook, and tying some parachord to two gallons of water with a known weight of 16.6 pounds. I hook the hook on the rope and lift and the line snaps way before the gallons are off the ground. Not the knot, the line, usually somewhere in the middle, but never the knots. If I had to guess I’d say….a little more than 50% of the weight is taken up before snapping. So the misguided test rating, as well as it’s stiffness are my two complaints. The positives are that it’s the cheapest braid on Amazon I think. And it’s perfect for my ice fishing traps. I spoil the traps with it, and use a uni to uni and attach a 6 pound flouro leader to it. Again, never had a knot failure. Actually the line has never failed me either in this application but the biggest fish I’ve caught through the ice is a 4# largemouth.Since I’m using it for ice fishing and have the bottom of the hole to deal with, I can also attest to the fact that this line holds up very well to that. It doesn’t fray, or thin when rubbing the ice. It will actually cut through. Ice does not accumulate in it. It’s nice. I will probably continue to use it on my ice traps. For my baitcasters and spinning reels I use a higher quality braid like PowerPro or Spiderwire, that stuff is very tough and I don’t think I’ve ever broken my line when using it appropriately.I once heard Aaron Weibe of Uncut Angling (YouTube channel) say: line is cheap, you buy it once and go all season with it (or longer like me) buy the good stuff once and never worry about it again. True dat. Don’t skimp on the details. The split shot and octopus hook on my ice rigs are cheap too. If I break off it’s whatever. Rapalas, and Live Targets are NOT cheap, and I only trust higher quality braid to those applications.Overall guys…this is a great value for simpler, cheaper applications like ice traps where you’re only risking a sinker and hook. Buy it for that! For your expensive jerkbaits, cranks, and chatterbaits…don’t skimp here.

It didn't come in a manufacturer box
So it didn't come in a box from the manufacturer it was just in a shrink plastic bag. But you know what, I don't care about that. I was worried that the overly strong manufacturer smell that it put out when I opened the plastic would chase the fish away so I loaded my reel days before I planned to go fishing and by the time I cast out the smell seemed to be gone. Yes I got fewer bites than normal but I expected it. I have caught on several snags while reeling in and I just put the tension to it with my big reel and after a few tugs the snag is gone. The Linehan absolutely no abrasion signs yet. Now the color fades kinda fast if I leave the pole in my car in the sun. But if I keep it in the shade the color last a long time. gotta admit I love the line enough that u wish I had gotten it In yellow instead of blue. sadly I cant buy another lage spsool of it in yellow.

The fish have no chance
I bought it out of interest in modern polymer filaments, but as a former avid fisherman (mainly spearfishing, but I wet a line quite often) it seems like it'd work at least as well and probably much better than nylon :)
