Design-driven, Futuristic, Geek How did you come up with the idea for this product? We've been in the audio device manufactoring industry for nearly 10 years. It is unusual to see innovation in such a mature market - frankly it is somewhat boring as far as creativity is concerned. We were thinking about doing something truly innovative to activate the industry. Then we thought, what's more unique than a flying speaker? And levitation technology makes it all possible. UPDATED REVIEW, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING !!!If you are buying this for the looks, then this review is NOT intended for you.HERE ARE SOME PROS AND CONS AFTER OWNING THIS FOR A COUPLE MONTHS:PROS:- Battery life is pretty good. Lasts over 4 hours on a single charge.- Looks pleasing and cool / Definitely a conversation piece.- The Magnet on the disk is very strong and can serve as a separate portable speaker.- The disk is waterproof (THE BASE IS NOT WATERPROOF) BE WARNED!- Can serve as a charger / The base acts like a charging port (2-USB connectors) 120v.CONS:- No external AUX or TV plug ins (Works only via Bluetooth)- The Disk sometimes falls off the magnetic balance when tilted incorrectly.- The connection cuts out and sounds choppy after 5ft- The Bass over powers the Mids and Highs, The Bass also sounds very muffled.- Sound quality is very poor for the price.- MAKES SO MUCH UNNECESSARY NOISE !!!! - Booting up - Shutting down - When Levetating - When coasting - When Connecting - When disconnecting- The list goes on unfortunately /:- The base is just a big magnet with a small speaker no bigger than a cheap speaker.- Very fingerprint prone- Very delicate, not for rugged usageIn all honesty, I will recommend to look else where if you seek something with higher quality sound. These speakers are aesthetically nice but are very poorly built. Try for yourself but dont say you didnt read this review before your purchase.Also, if I had to point something out, look at the rating, it speaks for itself, too bad I was one of the few who said "THE HELL WITH IT". WOEFULLY DEFICIENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND APP
I initially was very excited about receiving this unique speakers. however, I am now very disappointed. I have contacted the crazy baby several times concerning the firmware is out of date. The response I recieived is that due to technical difficulties it can not be updated. NO FURTHER EXPLANATION! The APP has no auto volume function as described in their adds and the youtube reviews I watched. The standby function doesn't work and you can not turn the speaker on and off via the app. Again after several attempts addressing these shortcoming with crazybaby. I have given up. The speaker is a nice novelty however the customer service and APP are woefully deficient. Will never deal with this start up again, and to think I was also anticipating the LUNA speakers and AIR headphones. Thanks crazybaby for steering way clear of these product if you EVER get them LAUNCHED!!!

A few hiccups, but works great
Have had the Mars for almost 2 yrs now and I'm happy with it. Set up was a breeze and sound is quite good for a speaker this size. I had the device in storage for a year and was not sure if it would work as well as the first year I had it. Bluetooth connection was a bit troublesome, but got it to connect just fine and the sound is just as good as the first day. Overall, very pleased with looks and function.

Good sound but no levitation
The sound on the speaker was great. However, after only 1 day of use, the speaker stopped levitating and the speaker would drop to one side, like the magnet was not on correctly. I tried to reach out to customer support, but they did not help. I would not recommend this product unless you like using the speaker without the levitating feature.I had to return it.

It looks cool!
So this is more of a conversation piece than anything else. The speakers are ok at best. Every once an a while it gets hung up and wont raise up after a charge. It's definitely more gimmicky than useful.

Awesome Speaker, poor Bluetooth and App.
First, the positives... this is a gorgeous Bluetooth speaker. I love it, the sound is stupendous, the floating speaker disc is amazing, it feels like something Apple would make. Oh, and the packaging? Very Apple like.But, and this is a big but... I don’t understand why the Bluetooth cannot stay connected to any of my iOS devices. Every time I want to use it, every time, I have to walk over to the unit, press and hold the pairing button, and then pair it with my iPhone or iPad. This is not good.The other day I bought the much smaller, $200 Bose Revolve here on Amazon for my nightstand. The sound has tremendous Bass, more than I want in fact, but the Bose Connect app allows me to simply connect the speaker by dragging the speaker graphic on the app downward and a couple of seconds later my iPhone is connected and playing music, or speaker phoning, without touching the Revolve. WHY can’t these guys create the same ease of use? Bluetooth is Bluetooth, the magic had to be in app or the firmware in the crazybaby.If they could update the app or the speaker itself to connect as easily as my Bose Revolve this would be a 5 Star Review.

Good speaker. Connected via Bluetooth with Echo Dot and Phone. Levitation works perfectly. Excellent conversation starter. I only complaint I have is, it could be a little louder. Lacking in power. Sound quality still excellent but would be better if it was a little louder. If the price would come down, I would get another one so I could pair them.

what you are left with is sound which is mediocre at best. AVOID
An extremely average novelty product and not worth the expensive price tag. The sound quality is sub-standard and once the 'coolness' of the levitating speaker wears off (in about 5 mins), what you are left with is sound which is mediocre at best. AVOID !!!
