To start out, the look and cut of these shirts is nice. It is mostly linen so it's got all those linen qualities (wrinkles and thin).I ordered 3 colors and 3 sizes. Quality control on sizing was good except for one of the several I had purchased.Colors: in real life they are slightly different. The coffee is more of an olive green/brown or what I'd call 'rotten coffee'.Sizing: Depending on the shirt I generally wear Med or Large depending on cut but following what other reviews stated I ordered L, XL and 2XL.The 2XL was like a sail, I was swimming in it. Large was similar to a t-shirt large but didn't have that medieval or yogi feel and was restrictive. In the end 1 size up was the best for that more loose feel.Washing: This is where I have to take away a star. The rivets for string at top were not embedded deep enough into fabric and require a washer bag unless you have other garments that you'd like to take a food processor blade to. I used pliers to help but even then it felt more like a bandaid fix.I'd buy again and it'll serve its purpose.

I read through the reviews and of course it’s thin! It’s linen! That’s the whole idea of linen.I found the sizing chart of ordering a size up to be accurate. I wear XL (USA) and ordered a XXL which fits as the guide said it would!!I can raise my arms up and all over without any restriction, and the waist of the shirt doesn’t rise when I do this. My build is Nordic, big rib cage/chest, broad shoulders, 5’10” and 215lbs.I am happy with this product; yes it arrived wrinkled, and that’s a property of linen material so either an iron or wash/dry cycle will take care of that - then proper hanging during storage which shouldn’t have to be said but some of the comments seem petty regarding wrinkles.Anyways, I hope this helps someone else.I am enjoying this shirt very much!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We are having a Ren Wedding so it is important that this shirt fit and look GOOD. My SO is 6'1 and 300lbs. Big guy all over but does have a belly, his normal comfort size is 3XL. Ordered a 4XL, it has no stretch at all but fit comfortable with plenty of room to spare. Big shoulders, big arms and it is loose and comfortable.I recommend this shirt! and he really likes it. Only returning bc the blue did not look right with his kilt but I already ordered a black one.

As others mention, it is very thin so good for warm environment. Also it came out of the box a bit "itchy/scratchy" so had to immediately wash it.Notes in inches - I am 5'9 185 pds. Waist 34, neck 15.5, chest 40Bought this shirt first in XL because reviews indicated these were "asian" sizes and are smaller than expected. But XL was far too big. So I bought in Medium and that fit much better. A bit "snug" but perfect for the warm weather at Burning Man which is where it will be used ;)

I read earlier reviews that said this ran small. So I ordered a 4X. I usually wear size XL, and if I want a hanging-out, casual shirt, or loose fit, I will get a 2XL. The 4X fits perfectly as my normal 2X. I am 5'8", 200 Lbs, and a bit round in the belly. Since it is linen, it will likely shrink when wet (sweat), so I expect it shall fit fine. Very comfortable and an excellent value for the money.

I ordered this shirt for my Renaissance Festival costume, after the fact I read the reviews reading that it runs small. I normally wear a large size shirt, so I ordered an extra large so it’ll be a little bigger, I was worried that the extra large was not going to be big enough but fits great. A little larger than i normally wear perfect for that medieval look with a sword/belt!

After ordering this shirt I am glad to say it s well worth it. The cloth is soft and comfortable and it is very durable. I will say I would probably get a size bigger then your usually size and it was tight around the mid drift but it looked great and was great for a Renaissance Fair!

If you're just starting out going to renaissance festivals and want to try dressing up but don't want to spend a lot, get one of these.If you're like me and attend 20 plus weekend events a year, you might want to invest in something a little more heavy duty.And I'm not a huge fan of the metal grommets, but I can probably fix that.Oh, and get it waaaay bigger than you'd think.
