Pretty good value
Good for the price and the only bulk pack I could find that is actually cotton. A good range of colours, mostly. I have had a few packs now and they are definitely not all the same mix and some are a bit skewed to certain colours. Not as good as mire expensive brands like DMC that I am more familiar with, but good for the price and I'll probably buy again when I have used up the massive pile I currently have!

Very good for beginners
For a beginner just wanting to know if embroidery is something for me I think these threads are perfect. I wanted a decent material and Egyptian cotton is really good. The polyester threads might be a bit cheaper but they also look cheap and don't have the "feeling". And as I'm trying to learn stitches I never even heard about it is unimportant which colour I use. I also try to find out the difference when using the whole thread which consists of 6 threads or just two or three of them. And there will be enough left for a small project. Perhaps I wouldn't buy this set if I was an experienced knitter as you might want more of your favourite colours and don't use some other colours although all of them are nice. I think I can use all of them as I sometimes need some thread for embellishing my crocheted items.

Proper cotton stranded embroidery thread
Nice thread. It's proper cotton, not polyester like so many other brands. I did a flame test to check. The packaging is a lookalike for the top brand and I find the quality of the thread indistinguishable from them. These are not numbered, but should be easy to match by sight. The colours are good, with a reasonable selection, including 5 variegated ones. They are labelled colourfast, although I haven't tested that myself yet.The thread is strong, smooth and works well. I sew with two strands usually and this separates easily. There are no issues with twist or rubbing and I would definitely recommend for beginners or expegienced embroiderers alike.

Other brands are preferable
As a basic embroidery thread, they are not bad. Good selection of colours. However, as far as production/manufacture goes, I would not buy them again. First problem is that they seem to have more of a twist to the threads than other brands I have used. But the far bigger issue is that they tangle up VERY easily. With other brands, especially one that has been around since I was a kid, you pull the loose end, and it will just feed out of the skein as you need. With these, when you pull the loose end, almost immediately the entire skein starts to tangle and knot up. Very frustrating/irritating, and a lot of extra unnecessary work.

Surprised
Honestly, surprised doesn't cut it. I'm SHOCKED at how amazing this thread is. I have DMC thread and I have friendship bracelet thread (I like the texture differences despite the very frustrating knotting) So I thought why not give this a shot. This thread is so soft, shiny and smooth it kept slipping right out of my needle when I wasn't paying attention. I've tried to compare it to my DMC thread but I feel like it's its own thing. UMC has comparable shine and softness, but the textures are slightly different. I'll be buying more of this thread. The colors are beautiful, the feel is soft, I'm super impressed.

Really Excited!
First of all, I am a novice (beginner) embroiderer. I have gotten through two separate kits both purchased on Amazon and I have purchased the majority of my supplies on this platform too.My introduction is meant to explain that I have experienced what the ideal embroidery floss is - and this is the best cost effective & amount that you will find on Amazon to be able to embroider with. This floss is comparable to regular DMC (what I consider the Holy Grail of floss) and is much better than many of the giant packs of “embroidery/cross stitch/bracelet thread” packs offered on Amazon. It’s not quite DMC value - but the price (50 skeins for $12.99) is better than 80-90 cents per skein before the taxes plus the, shipping and handling fees. You cannot do better for the price & the quality.Second, I really appreciate the color choice I received. As a newer convert to embroidery and cross stitching, I of course don’t have every color and shade of floss available. This is a really good starter set especially if you aren’t sure what pattern or design you will be creating yet. I wish there had been slightly more blues and purples but that’s me being super nitpicky and knowing that I had no idea what colors were going to be in this pack. This floss is the typical 6 thread skein - very easy to separate and divide into the amount of strands desired. If you do not own any thread conditioner, you may want to purchase one. I use a little plastic circular container of beeswax that I run the thread through after separating it because I live in California and we have been hitting over 100 degrees daily. Any floss that arrives through the mail will dry out and become more dry because of that.Third, if you are familiar with multi-colored floss like DMC’s Coloris or any other variegated floss shades, this pack included four skeins of that style (and I was not expecting any variegated shades at all!).This is a complete and honest review: I found it well worth it! I included two pictures above so you can see the shades I received of both the regular skeins and the four variegated ones.
