Militisto LED Light Strip 32.8ft, Compatible with Alexa, Echo, Google Home, Music LED Lights for Bedroom

I was hoping to surround a room with these as cove lighting. Here's what I discovered:Pros- The lights DO sync with Alexa. You have to download an app, sign up for an account, sync the app with your Alexa app and then select the correct lighting option from the list to set it up. Once that's done, you don't have to think about it. Just use Alexa and you're all set.- The single reel of lighting is unique and it does work well for doing cove lighting (if only as ambient light ) if you wire it so the AC adapter is not visible in the room. I've not installed it yet, but I will be running a 10 ft, 4-pin RGB cable through the wall up to the crown molding. It's tricky, but it should work well. Especially with a single LED strip to surround the living room.Cons- There seem to be < 9 LEDs per foot. The total lumen output is approximately the same as a single light bulb by my estimation. It's nowhere near as bright as other LED strips - however, you'd be paying 5x as much on a mid-range LED cove lighting system (15k lumen RGBW set over 60 ft costs about $170). I was originally tempted to use these anyway, since they're really a great budget option for ambience, but since I'm trying to make the cove lighting the primary source of light in my living room, I am going to be going in for the 200w, 15,000-30,000 lumen LED strip system (36 LEDs per foot).

The media could not be loaded.  These were surprisingly easy to set up. The backing material is tough and holds up well to bending. The included kit of fasteners does a great job of keeping things tidy. There’s even a roll of extra double sided tape. While the self adhesive backing on the tape would probably be sufficient for most installs, I chose to use the fasteners to make continuous bends. I really like that this kit includes the screws too, which makes for a rock solid connection. The AC adapter looks sleek and it’s UL certified which seems safer. The included remote was already paired to the lights and can access all of the settings - it runs off infrared but the system is powerful enough that I was able to leave the receiver hidden away and everything still works fine. I like having the remote just so I don’t have to hand over my phone when someone wants to play with the lights. Because this kit was a continuous 50’ strip, I didn’t have to bother with connections. There are, however, markings on the strip to make cuts if needed.Getting the app was simple too. I’m glad these lights use Smart Life/Tuya because so many other products are on the same app and Smart Life has a reliable discovery system that quickly found my lights and integrated Alexa into the setup. Alexa immediately found the lights and viola, voice commands were up and running. The Smart Life app has access to the full range of settings while Alexa is limited to just the basic stuff like color and brightness. The app has a bunch of different ways to automate the lights, including a few different patterns and syncing up to music. My favorite though is just the calm, slow fade between colors and it’s awesome that the app allows complete control over the transition speed.

Pros:-One 50ft strip-Various color options-Remote control-Google home and alexa support-App control using smart life and tuya app( I use smart life since I have other power strips already using this app and don't want to have multiple apps)-I use Google home with it and works fine-music/voice using phones mic to change the lightsCons:-No option to use camera to select colors which I noticed magic home app can do, so may be limited to the app rather than strips fault.-Color options are quiet limited so not very much rgb-I mainly bought this strip to use for white color since my room is pretty dark and I do my homework in my room and loving room so I need bright whitish light. I use other colors here and there whenever I am in the mood. I usually use red or purple while gaming. But I tried changing white color through smart life app and Google home app which the picture I have attached and not much brother or natural color white. The white color looks more bluish and not that bright.-Even red and other colors have limited color spectrum-I have another led strip that's rgb and white color looks natural white and can change to different white colors in the app. So I know it's not a app problem but rather the strips themselves are the problem.I guess I will be looking for other led strips that has proper white color.

Our Son Absolutely LOVES these lights for his room. They were very easy to install once we got the hang of it going around the room. We have told many other family members about them and they plan to order as well. We were so happy to find a SINGLE big roll of the lights so that we didn’t have to mess with attaching multiple strands and it worked out perfect to literally cut off any extra that we had left that we didn’t need once we wrapped it around the room. Our son is very pleased with the app and the lights dancing along to his music. If you are debating on these lights just go ahead and order them I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with these lights, the strip was long enough to go around my whole office and bring it a lot more light. They get plenty bright and have a bunch of color options to choose from.If you're buying these for their smart home fun functionality though, I'd look elsewhere. I have several Google Home devices with other smart lights, and I could not get these to pair at all. I reset them several times, tried different Wifi networks, and even moved a Google Home device to be right next to the lights control box, but nothing worked. The apps are poorly made and do not communicate well why the lights wont connect.

Very good strip length and strength. also on the remote there’s tons of different options and preset cycles. included in the box are tons of clips and two-sided tape.We used ours around the office and behind our TV.this unit also has a microphone so you can sync the lights changing with different sounds with slightly different sound settings.Highly recommended

el precio esta bien para la calidad de luces, el problema que le veo es que no las puedo cortar sin pedir que manden el conector al proveedor directo, y eso implica un gasto adicional, aparte que para conectarlo a alexa es un poco tedioso y las instructions realmente no te dicen como hacerlo, tuve que buscar en internet como hacerlo esa es la razon que le doy 4 estrellas

The media could not be loaded.  The lights are very bright and beautiful. The green, blue, and red are super vibrant. The white is more of a very light blue and the orange color is basically yellow. The pink and purple shades are gorgeous which is usually the color I leave it on.This is my second set of lights from this brand and they do not connect to my phone. I created a separate 2.4 internet and everything, it just won't work. It is the same with all 3 of my adapters.If it doesn't connect I recommend wrapping duct tape/thick tape over the adapter because the blinking blue light is very bright and hard on the eyes in a dark room.The customer service can be frustrating at times for English speakers because I think the customer service employee translates the messages from English and they may not translate accurately. I have specifically asked for parts and it took 2 months for them to finally be sent to me after weeks and weeks of emailing back and forth with customer service.I like that these lights can be cut to fit the room. Make sure if you do cut them you cut them on the RBG little metal section.Overall, these lights are awesome and a great price. I would purchase these lights over the separate strip lights any day. The length is awesome! The colors are vibrant! The glue adhesive sticks very well and the different light settings are loads of fun!

I used every last inch of the 65'roll...and it was all in one roll so did not have to worry about extra connections. Very easy install. I used a tracking system for the strip light to diffuse the LEDs a bit (as seen in picture). The lights are bright and do not overheat. Remote control works great complemented with the app on the phone and of course Alexa. Took a bit of work to get it connect to our wifi , that could be an issue with our router, phone or even the lights themselves but was not really an issue. Very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend!

The media could not be loaded.  My son has been asking for lights for his room for a long time. We bought them for him for christmas and I have to admit, they are super cool. There are several colors and options to make them do different things and they also move to music, too. Super glad we got these! They are very easy to put up because they have an adhesive on the other side of the lights. It only took us about 15 minutes to install them. Great product!!!
