Practitioners with interest in Isian/Graeco-Roman spiritual frameworks, as well as those with interest in Pierri’s work, will certainly appreciate this beautiful addition to the world of tarot.The deck arrives in a beautiful storage box with magnetic closure and includes a 90+ page book and cards themselves are beautiful with a heavy weight stock and gilded edges.Pierri’s Major Arcana takes a twist on the Fool’s Journey, featuring Pierri himself in several of the cards as the Auset Gypsy as he symbolically makes his way through the cast of the Arcana positioned in the framework of a colorful, sometimes campy, literal carnival of characters. Pierri remains traditional in some card interpretations, although he adds new flavors and insights from his own experience from 30+ years as a professional reader/practitioner and from the “Auset Gypsy” spin on many of the characters. The artwork is colorful and modern, peppered but not overwhelmed with symbolic imagery. This means the major arcana cards do well in getting across who this cast is as characters on the Journey, effectively portraying the personality of each of these archetypes such that they come across loud and clear as if meeting and conversing with the reader in person and often with a humorous twist. Never one to give away every secret, Pierri offers many nuggets of insight in his book without overwhelming the reader with unnecessary complexity.The minor arcana derives it’s influence from the Cagliostro deck, meaning that rather than featuring scenic images like the Rider Waite they feature basic minimalist arrangements featuring the suit symbols only. Many tarot enthusiasts will surely enjoy this harkening back to traditional imagery, although beginners may find this arcana challenging to read and would do well to keep a reference to a newer pictorial deck on hand to help them learn interpretations.

I am so in love with this deck already!These cards are so full of color and symbolism I LOVE that James included the Astrological associations to every card & the gold edges are a plus!Additionally the companion book is very informative I've been reading Tarot for 12+ years and there were things in this book that I wasn't aware of until today!You can tell there was a lot of love and dedication put into this deck, I wish more decks were this well done.

Well rounded deck! Beginner friendly and well suited for the advanced reader. Love the pip style of the minor arcana. The guide book is great, it gets right down to the point which I appreciate in tarot books.

I review and purchase a lot of tarot/oracle cards decks. I absolutely love this deck! Great artwork, guidebook and card quality and lets talk about that gold gilding! to die for.If I had one complaint (not really a complaint) is that its pip style.. I just wanted more art!!!I have a full flip through on my ch if interested.

There is so much energy put into the making of this tarot deck - you can feel it. I literally became misty-eyed when flipping through the cards for the first time. Stunning illustrations and such an informative book (not a dinky little pamphlet..... A BOOK!). Many blessings to all those who helped create this masterpiece!

The major arcana cards are nice. Well some of them are but the rest of the deck is pip style. The court cards also remind me of regular playing cards and there wasn’t a lot of thought put into majority of the cards at all. The box is nice on the cover but when you open it up, it is cheaply made. The paper around the inside of the box is already lifting. Also, I got the deck today and after one shuffle I noticed the edges curling and the gold edges peeling. I can only imagine how this deck will hold up after a month or two. As a result, I’ll be returning this product. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed.

Major arcana good - minor arcana are really badly designed

This is a stunning deck. At first I was a little disappointed with it being a pip deck, but having watched the creator talk about their choices with this deck, it makes sense that this would be the case, it just motivates me more to make friends with my pip decks. The guidebook is a lovely full-colour book and is definitely worth a read.
