I can’t believe my 2017 MacBook Air wouldn’t last more than 30 seconds if it wasn’t plugged it, I replaced the battery myself (following a video in YouTube) and now it holds battery for hours like it’s brand new, so happy for a fraction of the price taking it to Apple

The battery in my 2013 Macbook Air got to the point where it would fall to about 45% after 1.5 hours light use, then just switch off without warning. I use it mostly to remote control a more powerful Mac Mini in a different room, so didn't really need to upgrade to a new Macbook.So, the new battery arrived promptly and nicely packed. It was simple to install, although I did struggle to get the screws for the case in snugly, but that's due to my limited DIY skills.The Macbook powered up straight away and reported about 50%, so I charged it to 100% as instructed before any use. The light on the charger alternated between orange and green for a few hours, as it had been doing with the old battery. I ignored this & thought it's most likely a problem with the charger as it's a non-Apple replacement. Anyway, once charged, I used the laptop for a few hours of quite heavy use. (using Logic Pro). The battery definitely lasted much longer, but I was disappointed when it suddenly died at 40% again without any warning.So, I charged it up again. This time the orange charge light stayed on continuously, so I was a bit more hopeful. Once charged to 100% I used it over a couple of evenings for maybe 2 hours, then had it running videos for about 7 hours on Sunday with the screen on medium brightness. The battery discharged down to about 10% before it reported that the battery was running low so connect to a power source of it would go to sleep (exactly as it should do). So I switched it off and charged it again.So, maybe the initial switch off was due to the laptop getting used to its new found power, I don't know, but it seems to be working fine now so I am happy to recommend the battery.I can't say if it lasts longer than the old battery when it was new, but I think it must be as good, especially as the Macbook is full of 10 years of garbage so takes far longer to boot up than it used to!

This battery replacement is a great solution (at a great price) for Apple's original poor quality battery (which isn't covered by Apple Care) The instructions provided are comprehensive, step-by-step, with photos. Removing the old battery, which is glued down, is pretty nerve-wracking as you need a little bit of force to prise up the old battery (even though I used a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to weaken the old adhesive). However, all's well and this new battery works, well, like new.

My 2014 macbook air started relying on the power cable to turn on and wouldn't hold a charge (it would switch off as soon as the power cable was disconnected).The original battery was almost 10 years old so it did well. The new battery is working great. It is important to follow the instructions and initially fully charge the battery, let it fully drain, fully charge...etc. so you get the best performance for years to come. I would highly recommend, as it is easy to install and great value for money compared to getting a repair at Apple.

I purchased the battery in march and had no issues with the installation process or with the battery performance up until last week. Now I watch the battery fall in front of my eyes. Despite being on low power mode and all connections turned off, the battery held out for just under two hours whilst I was watching a film before dying. As far as I can see there is no warranty scheme in place, which I suppose is to be expected for the price, but is still disappointing.

It took me 10 minutes max, including brushing out all the dust and fluff that had accumulated over the years. It had my Mac charging on full again and battery lasted well between charges, although I only used it for a couple of months, as I got a new Mac for Xmas. (Lucky me)

Replaced the battery with minimal difficulties yesterday. Battery health seems fine, charged it through the day, and had it turned on for 4+ hours last night and the whole morning today. 30% left. (will update with more precise information). the plastic film on top holds onto the battery really tightly so be careful when you rip it off not to ruin the cable connecting the three parts of the battery. Usefullittle booklet but carefully follow YouTube videos as well, especially when removing the battery.I've only installed it yesterday so I cannot provide information regarding its durability. Will update 6 months later. I hope that the 1 year warranty is real if anything happens, otherwise it is just false promise.Pros:- battery cable included with the battery so it doesn't matter if you destroy your own or just to have one for spare- Pretty comprehensive set of tools- double sided tape provided underneath the battery- protective strip on top of battery providedCons:- no alcohol wipes provided- plastic film above the battery a bit hard and time consuming to remove, gotta be careful with the pressure you apply when pulling it off.

After trying another brand and having a failure I thought I'd try again. I found a forum where a few repairers reccomended SNSYIY batteries.I was hopeful as soon as I saw the package. Very neat. The battery looked good and even came with a battery daughter board cable preinstalled. If you've tried to replace one of these tiny cables you'll know how helpful that is. Great inclusions came with the battery and the ahesive pads were nice and big, not little strips.Overall a very thoughtful professional package.I installed it without much fuss. It fit perfectly.I booted it up and charge was at around 50% and showed 100% capacity. Coconut battery recognized all of the batteries information.I'm am very pleased with the result.

I have purchased this battery twice for different computers. The quality is excellent and the install is easy-plenty of installation videos are online. This battery is the highest capacity battery I could find for my Intel-based Macbook Air.

Honestly this was an amazing purchase! I fix computers as a side gig, and I have always refused to work on apple products. Well I finally caved and did my first Macbook repair, and these detailed instructions were an absolute lifesaver! So much anticipated stupidity from the Apple engineers turned out to be a reality, and this fantastic kit prevented me from looking for YouTube videos to help with the annoying roadblocks that Apple implements into their products that any actual good company doesn't do! Got this on sale and was incredibly impressed! Highly recommended company and product!
