Good reliable product
Instructions are clear and easy to use. I have used the product a number of times so far and the readings have always been accurate provided that calibration has been done correctly. As other reviewers have said it is very sensitive to electrical signals so common sense required when interpreting these readings. On the whole a very useful product and good value for money.

Useful DIY tool
The tool is lightweight and can find 4 different materials, which is useful. Setting up, calibrating, and scanning are simple to do and the location of materials is clearly shown by a graduated scale and a centre point beep for studs. It is also a bonus that it comes with a battery for immediate use.Stud accuracy seems to be about right, though electrics appears to be a little vague as it starts to show the scale as soon as it is in the proximity of any wires. But for my use that is OK as it means I am not going to drill anywhere near that point. I have not tried the metal beam scan though. The user needs to have a good idea of an area where the source material is not present, so that the device can be calibrated before use, and it needs to be calibrated each time a new scan is done. The other thing to watch is how you hold the scanner as it is so easy to press the calibration button when moving it across a wall, and mess up the search.

Good value and does the job
I've never used a stud finder before but found myself needing one with wanting to do a lot more diy around the house and for my grandma. I had to read through the instructions to make sure I understood what I was looking at but it was simple enough to use and to understand. The product is light and doesn't seem like it'll fall apart if you accidentally drop it. For the price I really don't have anything to complain about.

doesnt work
Even after doing multiple calibrations, this device just doesn't work. It identified the stud in the wall where there was none. This happened multiple times. Finally ended up returning this.

A very welcome present
Purchased this for my Son in Law as a present when he moved into a new house. He is delighted with it, it works well and has prevented at least one "Drill through pipe" disaster. In comparison with the old metal detector type tools from years ago, it is fantastic.

Great value and accuracy
Extremely easy to use and I got accurate results when testing my wall, as you can see it's told me there is wires there because of the light switch on the other side of the wall, there's a stud but the stud is metal or layered with metal to reinforce the false wall. It's great value for your money and it gets the job done with little to no fuss.

Takes a bit to figure it out but works great
The stud finder works well, I have bought it mainly to avoid hitting any live wires behind the wall. It took me a minute to figure out how it works and how to use it, but was able to use it comfortably to hang numerous pictures after. When there is a lot of interference it beeps very loudly and doesn't stop unless you press the calibrating button and on a couple walls it went a bit funny (according to it the wall is ridden with wires..!), but otherwise a good tool and worth the price.

Leider umsonst.
