Nice Back-Up Bed for Roaming Corgi
Our Corgi likes the option of choosing different sleeping locations/options throughout the day. Helpless in the face of his demands, we happily comply with his wishes.-:). This bed is a bit thin to serve as a sole and primary bed. Also, as a flat bed, it obviously does not have an elevated, cushioned portion of the bed on which a dog can place his or her head -- our dog likes that to relieve stress on his neck. As a back-up bed, though, this bed works well to accommodate short-term napping. While on the thin side, the cushioning actually spreads the dog's weight well (our dog is 30 pounds) and provides reasonable support. The bed is also very light, and easy to fold somewhat in half if you want to throw it in a closet when it is not being used. Overall, I think this bed is a good, inexpensive, decently supportive, lightweight option for smaller dogs around 30 pounds or less.

...just 'OK'...
...for over $30 I'm afraid I expected a better made dog pad bed. It's not falling apart yet, and Sasha does nap on it, and she looks comfortable - but the top fabric is very thin and will certainly wear out sooner than later. I expected a thicker, higher quality top fabric. However, the deed is done, the money is paid, and dog is currently enjoying the pad, so let it be. Would I recommend others to buy? I'm afraid not. This would be a simple item to gather higher quality materials at your local fabric store (or online!) - including foam slab, and make yourself with simple sewing machine...for a third of the cost of this pet bed. Just my opinion... perhaps I'm being too gnarly ;-)

Exactly as stated
I see people give negative feedback for these types of bed when it clearly states the thickness in the description. This isn't a fluffy bed. It's egg crate type material. It's comfortable for my dogs considering we have tile but I'm sure they would much rather sleep on one about 5 times the thickness which is where my bed comes in (or paying at least $60 for a thick dog bed). This is a good alternative to hard flooring or even an extra bed to having near their favorite window or maybe a better alternative to a paper thin crate "pad". It also won't withstand a destructive dog that will eat up sheetrock etc so if your dog is a chewer, pretty much any bed will become garbage at some point. Does what it's supposed to. Would I sleep on it or should a dog with joint pain..probably not. I'd say upgrade but you'll pay lots more for it.

decent dog bed for the money
I purchased this dog bed for my 75lb black lab. She loves the bed but I realize I should have bought her a thicker bed.She is like me, old and the bones don't always feel so good. Great bed for the price paid. Easy to clean, and take careof. She is laying on the bed beside me now. Her old bed was just totally worn out. If she could talk she would tell youshe loves the bed. Amazon is the way to go. They have good merchandise for the price you pay.

30x40 size is a stretch
Received this pet bed and immediately found that 30x40 size meant fabric only. The orthopedic foam is NOT 30x40 and was disappointed in that. I have a large older dog and had purchased a AlphaPooch Lounger bed a year ago which is no longer available and was VERY happy with that one. I ordered this one to replace it and would not recommend it if you need the entire 30x40 size. Also it is a little thin at 1 1/2 inches. I order often from Amazon and do not write reviews but thought this one needed written.

Good value
Well, it's for my dog and he seems to like it a lot. It's not too thick, as he has a larger bed for the living room that he sleeps on. This is for him to lay in when I'm in my office and he wants to be near.

Decent, but thin.
Got this bed for my older dog, and went for an "Orthopedic" pet bed. My dog likes to sleep half on the bed, half on the wood floor, so it works out fine for her. Decent enough bed, but feel like I could have gotten something similar if not maybe a little thicker for about the same price at a local pet store. When I am not home, she loves to lay in her thicker Orthopedic bed, but this thinner one she will lay on in the living room when I am home.

Our dog thinks he's ice skating or sledding!!
This bed is ok. The size of the bed is explained well in the seller's info. I appreciate this as sometimes that is not the case. My dislike of this bed is how slippery the bottom is. I have it on a wood floor and as soon as our dog runs to lay down the whole bed (and the dog) slide across the floor usually crashing into something. For now it serves the purpose, but in the future I plan on purchasing a different bed.
