No, most of the plastic Petri dishes are not UV transparent, especially for UV-C. You need to open the cover to kill the bacteria by UV.

I would use these with an inverted scope. Scope collar is adjustable up to 2mm. Is the thickness bottom of the dish 2mm or less?
