Toilet Paper Saver

This is keeping our 1 year old kitty from ruining yet another roll of TP. So nice to not have to always keep bathroom doors closed day and night...for now. I'm not sure why people are complaining about the difficulty of doing and undoing the rod cap. I turned mine backwards so the elastic is inside the toilet paper tube and made sure the cap is facing further away from where we sit so it is easier for us, but either choice was and is easy to do, and fast. I can see this working well when we had our toddler.These are really solid tubes and good quality generous but not slack elastic (not even slack when down to the last bits of the roll.Thanks for such a great price & the free S&H!! Great idea except toddlers are smarter than we think. Didn't even work for a day in our house.

Great product, easy to install. Sometimes wraps around the TP holder if you take one end off in order to more easily access the TP, but I usually just pull the bit I need out from underneath the elastic band. Our kitten found the TP (without the TP Saver on it) while we were out of town, and I came home to shreds of TP all over my bathroom. I immediately put the TP Saver back on (I had taken it off because she had shown no interest in the TP to that point), and the next day I found claw marks in the TP roll, but no TP shreds in my bathroom. I left the TP Saver on for a couple more weeks, and have never found any more claw marks in my TP. I think it convinced her that the TP fun was a one-time thing. I have since taken the TP Saver off again, and in the last month she has still left my TP alone. Perfect for my needs, if a slight hassle to use the TP while it is on (not too bad, though)

It's affordable and keeps my toddler from running off with toilet paper. However, my husband keeps taking it off, because it is so aggravating to use when you actually need the toilet paper.

I love this idea! This thing really does keep my son from unrolling all of the paper. It's a bit fiddly for adults so I generally leave it undone unless my son is in the bathroom for a while "doing his business" which is when he is most tempted to unroll.

Either this Amazon picture shows it being installed backward or no one bothered to product test this. We installed these on all our toilet paper rolls without checking instructions (we had a four-year-old, now five-year-old, who often accidentally yanks half a roll of toilet paper off the roll). We installed it with the elastic on the inside of the cardboard tube and the roller on the outside. It works perfectly. Toilet paper is easy to access but it prevents children from pulling all the paper off accidentally. Any time someone unfamiliar, like a new maid, installs it "backward" (the way shown in the picture here) it stops working.

Great tool for saving TP. My little man (now 16 months old) is fascinated by this device. Due to me not setting it right, he figured out how to remove it the first try, but it was because I did not twist it. Works great if you lock it. Wish I had it before he figured out that TP can roll for what seems like forever. He loves paper products. Thanks for making this product!

I was disappointed when the product arrived and opened to learn that it was not standard fitting and was more of a nuisance to use than expected. Who wants to take off the roll of tp each time you have to eliminate, you could just not use a holder and place it next to the commode. It was a waste of money and through it away in the garabage, instead to keep my puppy outta the destruction of tp roll, I bought a suction cup and a round basket and put it on the tile wall just above the original tp holding structure. Problem solved !
