Good Size and Seems Strong
I don't know if this is a real Ka-Bar or not, but it holds the edge and is perfect for what I do. I only use it for a speartip when I'm camping deep here in the N. Cascades to protect myself from larger predators. I lash to Willow or other sapling wood with 550 paracord. Spears are a great stand-off weapon that have been used for thousands of years and paired with bear spray, I'm king of my forest. Saves the weight of a gun since I hike a lot. I wouldn't use this for anything else since I have specialty knives that do camp chores and dressing game. Hasn't broken with my endurance test (thrown into tree trunks) and is what I want. Will work for a cheap dwon-and-dirty beater/survival knife for sure.

Great Little Neck Knive
Only good things to say. I have purchased a few of these as gifts after I checked one out for me. Great price, great quality, lite weight and sharp out of the package.

Great knife for the price- Sheath is fine once you learn how to use it
Nice little knife for general purpose use. The sheath didn't seem to fit until I looked closely. There are two ears on the sheath that hold it securely but you have to stand the knife on end and carefully hit the knife handle to force the knife into the sheath. Then it stays secure. Kind of dangerous if not careful.

Nice Little Knife
Sometimes you just don't need a high dollar knife. Or, perhaps you just want a simple blade to toss in the glove compartment or in a pocket. For times like that, Ka-Bar has a solution in its Skeleton series. The Dozier is one of two Ka-Bar Skeletons I own, the other being the Jarosz Rambler. The Dozier is made in China from a single piece of 5Cr15 stainless, fashioned into a drop point hollow grind blade. Overall length is 6.375" with the blade measuring out at 2.625" and .125" thick at it's widest. It fits nicely into its plastic sheath, perhaps not as securely as the Jarosz but that can probably be fixed with some judicious application of a heat gun. As it stands it should be able to retain the knife suspended inverted from a neck lanyard or on a clip, but I'd prefer the fit to be a bit more secure. As pictured, I've wrapped both my Skeletons' hafts in paracord which provides a comfortable grip. The Dozier is in the black/blue cord.As shown, the Dozier is slightly longer than the Jarosz which is 6" long with a 2.5" blade. Both have the same 5Cr15 content and hollow grind edge. Personally I find I like the Jarosz a bit better, although I'm not sure if it's because of the proportions, the clip point blade, or both. Regardless, at this price you can buy both and decide for yourself. Either will serve you well when all you need is a simple knife for a light job, or as a good starting point if you want to try your hand at making a custom knife.

An exceptional design with strength and simplicity. I am ...
An exceptional design with strength and simplicity. I am partial to it since I used a custom made minimalist design knife throughout the Vietnam years and have found this to be a modern adaptation from the original which is no longer available since the maker has passed on.

Chinese made, cheaper quality.
You get what you pay for. All and all not bad, just not good. The knife rattles in the sheath and the fit and finish is very rough.

Good little knife.
Good little knife for the money.

A simple knife
This is not the best knife I have ever used. Its edge needed some work. The handle, even for a skeletonized one, was uncomfortable. The steel is a lower quality 5Cr15 Stainless Steel. But the geometry is good. It will fit in a sheath pocket and can easily be clipped on to the outside of a pack. It is easy to sharpen and takes a very nice edge. And this price can't be beat. The design and shape of the blade is perfect for close in applications where a nice belly for slicing is needed. It is also light to be used as a neck knife if needed. This is the knife I hand to friends while camping or hunting when I know they're going to end up pounding the blade against a rock or rolling and chipping the edge against a bone or something else equally destructive. I also would have 0 problem leaving this knife if a situation required that... and thats a good thing.
