Love it!
I recently replaced my standard pin based master link to this quick release link. Love it. Prior to this I would clean my chain while on the bike with a cleaning tool I bought on Amazon. Now I can remove the chain entirely and let it soak in cleaner. I did this when I installed the quick release link and my chain is so much cleaner. Re-lubed it afterwards and shifts improved. I have had a couple of rides since and the link is holding just fine. I removed the chain again to see how easy it was and was able to remove it without any tools, just pushing the link ends together with your hands is all it takes. Being able to remove the chain easily will come in handy for future maintenance. Great purchase.

Always carry a spare "quick link" when you travel.
I have used these before, and needed a few spares. They look like genuine OEM pieces. They come in OEM packaging. I believe they are the real deal...

Great addition to bike kit.
Used this KMC Missing link for a chain upgrade I recently put on my road bike. Very easy to install and looks like very good quality for a product made in China. For anyone working on bikes themselves, I would suggest getting the Oumers Universal Bike Chain Tool With Chain Hook, Road and Mountain Bicycle Chain Repair Tool, Bike Chain Splitter Cutter Breaker, Bicycle Remove And Install Chain Breaker Spliter Chain Tool so you can take out or add the links necessary.Use with 6,7, or 8 speed chains with 7.3 mm links. Six pack comes in proliferated package so I can carry them with me on my rides.

Link Fits Securely For Connecting Chain
I’ve grown to trust KMC products they are always there for me when I need new chain or connecting links. The missing link snaps securely and requires force to remove. Perfect for my needs. Not to be re-used.

A quick fix, miles from nowhere! Excellent!
My wife and I ride a lot on rails-to-trails bike trails, and they pass through some pretty rural, sparsely populated areas. I can't imagine pushing my bike for 10 or more miles due to a broken chain.Based on other reviews here, I purchased these items as insurance (cheap insurance, at less than $12 for a card of 6) that I wouldn't have to push my bike from the middle of nowhere to the nearest town, in the event of a broken chain. These will definitely be going into my tool bag for future trips! The nicest things I like about them are:1) No tools required to install (you will still need a small chain tool, such as the Park Tool Mini Chain Brute Chain Tool - CT-5 to remove the broken link from your broken chain)2) They are re-usable. Once you do a more permanent repair, you can save it to use again, in the event of another unfortunate chain breakage.I highly recommend these for any bicyclist!

A good-quality Quick Master Link
This is the first time I've used a quick-release master link, and I've been very pleased with it. Chain cleaning has always been a hassle, but now with this quick link, I can easily and quickly remove the whole chain from the bike, drop it into a plastic bottle with solvent, and shake it up to clean it. After the grit and dirty lube are cleaned off, I remove it from the bottle, rinse it, dry it, put it back on the bike, snap the quick link back together, and it's ready for fresh lube. I will use one on every new chain I install.Although there are special plier-type tools made for releasing these types of links, I have no trouble using just a pair of needle-nose pliers. I squeeze the side plates together, and push the chain by hand and it comes right apart.FYI, I used this on a KMC Z50 chain, which is on a bike with a 7-gear cassette (21-speed 1996 Gary Fisher Wahoo mountain bike). The link runs smoothly and I notice no difference in shifting or any measurable performance compared to the solid chain that was installed previously.

Work great on KMC and SRAM chains
Work great on KMC and SRAM chains, but have had some issues using these on Shimano chains. I bought these because I heard they work with Shimano chains (since KMC and SRAM both provide a missing link or power link connector), but I have found that it works better on some Shimano chains than others. The chains used were all HG-50 Shimano CN-HG50 6/7/8-Speed Chain and would worked on some easily, but on others it seemed too narrow. It was definitely the chain, and I ended up using a pin to close it, so I don't blame these links.

KMC Missing Link doesn't snap into place well
It's very weak snapping into place. I easily disconnected it with light pressure with my fingers. I've used other links that were much tighter and much better. I expected more and paid more from KMC.

Easy to use, works well
I've switched to lubing my chains in a hot paraffin bath, and these links allow me to easily and quickly remove and replace the chain. Nice to have the pliers, but a piece of brake cable will release them easily, and having the link in the top chain run and stepping on the pedal locks them as well. You do need to squeeze the plates together with your fingers while locking them. No problems after multiple uses so far.

Just right for my needs

Can be undone by hand, but consider a tool
After a bit of practice you can get them undone fairly quick, especially if you wax instead of oil. Consider just buying the bicycle master link removal tool and skip any hassles

Works great.
It's a bike chain link, not too much to say other than it works.
