I would have just spent the extra money on the name brand filters had I known the charcoal doesn't even fill up the filter like the OE which means it isn't truly filtering as advertised. The charcoal filter was falling apart at the seam as well. I threw a piece of tape on it to prevent spillage and installed. In the grand scheme, just not worth the hassle of returning. Lesson learned and stick with OE as not one of these other filters comes close to OE quality. The normal pleated filter seems to be ok, comparable to the OE.

This filter costs less than brand name so I tried it. There is noticeable difference with the filter. The little pebbles in the back filter only fills 1/3 of the holes. The orginal filter fills most of the holes which means a lot of pollen, and dust will not be filtered out properly. I will not be purchasing again.

Filters maybe 20% of what the Levoit factory installed filter does. Makes air really dry, and doesn’t remove odors or dust like the original, has chemical smell. Falls apart. You aren’t saving money, they make the machine dirty because they don’t filter well. Look forward to the FTC cracking down on Amazon for these dangerous fraudulent products. I buy a lot on Amazon and a lot of it is fake, some dangerous. Don’t use this if you value your health. Small bits of fiberglass go airborne from cheap filters.

I've seen a few bad reviews saying these filters are poor quality or that they don't have enough carbon or that they don't fit well. I have 2 of these levoit purifiers and they each came with a HEPA and a Carbon filter plus when I first bought them I got a OEM replacement for when they needed to be changed. After running all those filters I bought these ones the next 2 times.I guess I got lucky because I literally can't find any difference. A 4 of the filters I've gotten from this seller have been identical to the originals.All 4 of them fit perfectly like they were supposed to. All 4 of them were well crafted and looked the same as the OEM when compared side by side.All 4 of them had just as much if not more carbon than the OEM. All 4 of the HEPA filters looked identical and fit identical to the OEM.The OEM filters lasted be about 3 months (my house doesn't have any air vents and I'm in a high dust area. I keep them running full speed 24/7. Even being used in a high dust area if I kept them on medium or left them on auto in positive they would last 6 months or more. I prefer to run them on high constantly as they're very energy efficient and I want to have my air as clean as possible for my children and wife who have asthma) and these generic filters lasted 3 months as well.I have kept the carbon filters from all of both the OEM and these generics as I intend to remove the carbon, clean it in an oven, and keep it for making new filters.I see no difference in the quality or quantity of the carbon used between the 2 brands. Holding them side by side they look identical.I've been unable to find an single difference between the 4 OEM filters and the 4 generic.I suppose maybe I've just been lucky but I suspect those with bad reviews just got unlucky and the majority of the filters sold by the seller are just fine.These 2 new filters arrive tomorrow and I fully expect they'll be just as good as all the previous ones.If they're not ill update this so if you don't see an update they were the same high quality they've always been.

The carbon portion of the filter is not even half full

If you look at my photo, the filter from this company is on the left, and the filter from the original company is on the right. You can see that they clearly do not use as much charcoal as other companies, and the falsely advertise that they do. I will not purchase from them again, it was a waste of my money.

I bought the Levoit air purifier for my bedroom because I have dust and animal allergies. This has helped immensely, in that, I don't get all stuffy when I lay down in bed. The filters have to be changed pretty frequently but maybe that's because I have 2 cats and a dog. Also, living in the desert brings a lot of dust inside. Bottom line: I recommend the air purifier and the air filters

Replacement filter is advertised as having more activated charcoal compared to other replacement filters and that’s a lie. Also the charcoal filter does not fit snuggly it’s to small. Have ordered other replacement filters and honeycomb’s were filled with charcoal. Thought I would try this brand and save a couple dollars. at Returning …
