This timer can be used for many things, including an alarm clock.. will make a good gift. At first I couldn't get it to work. couldn't find the directions.. then found them, and it was obvious that i hadn't turned on the side tab that saves the batteries life .. that was talked about on the reviews. Once you figure it all out.. it is really easy to operate! I have a bunch of Amazon batteries and also a battery charger.. no problem there..I had purchased it because i had a timer that broke... used for timing how long I sit at the computer.. to get up every 20 minutes.. Can think of many more uses for it. It has a rather shrill tone, as noted by several reviewers. that is very good if you are in the other room. but if it's close to you I figured that I could put a little piece of label paper over it. It is not as shrill that way... and it's easy to remove if you are using it in another room... Nice big numbers .. easy to see to keep track of time.. Almost time to get up again.. lol

Very beepy. Kind of hurts my ears. However, works fine and is easy to work. Just maybe don't put it too close to where you are working. On the plus side, you can probably hear it from across the street.

Really loud, which is great if you aren't near the timer and need to hear it. But it just fell off my refrigerator, after several months of use, and now is cracked and broken.

Doesn't have a memory function where you can just hit "reset" and it goes back to mem. You can only resume the count down or let it go to 0 then it will reset. Other than that it's great.

I bought this because my dryer doesn't buzz or anything when it's done and without it indicating that it's done I always forget about it! This timer is great, it's really loud, it doesn't stop until you stop it, it's easy to set and it's magnetic! I thought it'd fall off because the dryer shakes but it stays put! It's perfect!

Item arrived on time. It has a nice loud beeper that I can hear in the other room. The buttons are easy to press, and the numerals are easily visible across the kitchen. The only complaint I would have is the beep for setting the time is as loud as when the time is reached, so if you are doing a 25+ minute task, the beeping is somewhat annoying while you are standing right at the timer. Overall, I'm glad to have this product.

I purchased this for someone that is visually impaired, specifically because of the large readable display. However the display is practically unreadable. It turns out if you look at the timer from an angle rather than straight on, you can read it. I am guessing this is a defective product, but super annoying to have to package it back up and return it.

This is a great timer, it is easy to see and use. You can time up to 90 minutes and seconds. When the time is up it makes a loud beeping sound for a minute. You can press the start/stop button at any time to stop and reset the timer, or to start it. To reset the timer to 0, you press the minute and the second button at the same time. It also runs on one AAA battery that can last for months, the battery does not come with it. This timer is made well and should last for years.
