Sympathetic, detailed
This is a sympathetic detailed guide to training horses. Many of us have ridden horses that don't do what we want and when this happens, especially if we're frightened, we can blame our mount. This book gently steers us in the right direction to understand our horse and what to do to take steps to rectify the problems we're experiencing. This is all done without blame and utmost respect for our ride.

Excellent Book on Horses..
I've always loved horses as a kid but never really knew much about them. This helps explain all that, not only does it describe the mannerisms of a horse, but also teaches you how to properly train them. Clearly written book with lots of pictures and diagrams. Perfect read for the horse lover!

Simple and easy to read!
It's simple to understand and the training works on older horses too. We couldn't believe how fast our 10 year old gelding started to responded to the training and some of the gaps in his education are already starting to close. I have read other training books in the past but found this book was far more helpful. I would highly recommend this book to others who are looking to train their horse. A great buy.

Great Horse Training Book
I've read a lot of books on riding and training and Christopher Conradt's is one of the best I've come across. The steps are easy to follow, it has a comprehensive overview of training and is filled to the brim with insightful horse psychology and formulated riding exercises to help you to excel with your horse as a team. I'd recommend it to any rider of any level who wants to master the art of riding well.

Excellent!
I recommend this book to anyone who is trying to train their horse. It focuses on positive reinforcement and creating a partnership and trust between horse and rider. It covers all I need to know, the necessary theory, appropriate exercises and a training plan to keep me on track.. I have read it a number of times and consider it my go to guide for training my new horse. Many thanks!

A comprehensive and easy to understand practical guide
A well written guide to training, or re-training, your horse. Sets out the theory simply and is written from a very practical point of view with good diagrams to illustrate what is needed. I particularly liked the stress on understanding the mechanics but building on them to work out what works for you and your horse.

Superb!
Clear concise instructions which are easy to understand and provides the rider with a plan of action. I can't wait to begin! Love the fact that it's not all about making the horse do something but rather building a successful partnership .
