Not the classic Satya Sandalwood incense pictured.
This is unfortunately not what is pictured. It seems to be the same company, but the incense is in a different box and doesn't smell nearly as good. This was really disappointing because I love the classic Satya Sandalwood incense but this was not the same.

NOT WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE!!
I ordered this from Gift Guru a year ago- 2 of the 12 pack boxes and I couldn’t get enough of the smell. I ordered what claims to be the same product but it is definitely NOT!! It smells like flower soap. It’s not a horrible smell but it is nothing like sandalwood. The box is also different than the one that is advertised- the one advertised is what I purchased and received last year from a different seller. I would NOT recommend this seller- very shady!!

Ordered a sample pack and the Sandalwood was really great, but ordering this larger box was a disappointment
Ordered a sample pack and the Sandalwood was really great, but ordering this larger box was a disappointment. The smell is one-dimensional and lacks any depth, smells a bit like perfume. An update -- I did some more digging and it seems this is from the BNG split of the company (both are using totally new logos on their seals now), but something changed in the base mixture that makes all of their incense noticeably less "earthy", a bit of a bummer. This did grow on me a bit after I got over the missing depth, but it's still merely OK instead of great.

5 stars ‘IF’ you get the yellow box that’s pictured
So, Satya’s sandalwood incense is my favorite incense. That is, ‘IF’ I get sent the correct one, the one in the yellow box. The scent of the yellow box is 5 stars every day of the week. The problem is, is that there are two Satya companies. The one in Bengaluru makes the classic yellow box sandalwood incense. The other Satya is in Mumbai, and makes a sandalwood incense in an orange box. The scents are in no way comparable. Yellow is a more woody, sandalwood scent. Orange is quite soapy and perfumy, and I don’t really get sandalwood from it. I don’t really know the story here, but a saw several reviews saying that each Satya is owned by two feuding brothers, or something. No idea if that’s true, or not.The yellow and orange boxes have completely different UPC codes. Even so, there is/are a person(s) in an Amazon warehouse somewhere that is putting the same internal Amazon bar code sticker on the orange box as what gets put on the yellow box. Sometimes you will get sent the orange box because of this. I have to believe that order pickers probably get blamed for this mistake quite a bit, but the issue lies with whoever is putting the Amazon bar code on the wrong product. Now don’t get me wrong, the orange box doesn’t smell ‘bad’, per se, but for me it’s just nowhere in the same league as the classic scent in the yellow box.Yellow box: 5 stars.Orange box: 2 stars.EDIT: Okay, now docking another star. I reordered another box and again received the bootleg incense from the fake Satya with the business address in Mumbai. This box has a different UPC than the last bootleg incense, and is more of a mustard brown color (the last counterfeit incense came I received was in an orange box). The real Satya Sandalwood incense should be what’s pictured, a bright yellow box with a company address in Bengaluru. Now to be clear, in addition to the Mumbai business address, this fake incense also has a factory address listed in Bengaluru (different from the legitimate Bengaluru address). I have added a new photo comparing the two fake product boxes. To add insult to injury, the box I received was broken open and the smaller boxes on incense were all loose in the mailer envelope (photo attached). It’s going back. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I won’t be ordering this from Amazon again. I can no longer trust that I will get sent he genuine Satya Sandalwood incense.

Not the same product I ordered only a couple of months ago!
Ever since I discovered this particular brand I bought it from this seller three times! However, the last order I received is now packaged completely different and it smells and feels completely different than the original product which I so loved and adored. The original one smelled fresh, clean, light, and soapy. Everyone complimented on it. This one makes my stomach turn and it gives me an instant headache. It smells like old cheap cologne. I had to leave it outside my room, it is that bad!!! I will return this product and by the look of some of the reviews on here it looks like I will have to shop elsewhere, which is a shame. I don't understand why they changed the recipe. Truly disappointed and upset about this. I wish I ordered my last one in multiple numbers :(

Not what I ordered in the past
I received a yellow box that also says sandalwood but smells wretched, like a really heavy perfume that instantly makes me dizzy, instead of an orange box that smells sweet and very mild in comparison. Have ordered from here with no problems in the past so I don't know why it's different this time.

Burns nicely ; genuine scent
The review option asked if I liked the flavour. Under the weighty pressure to deliver a good review for you, my Amazon tribe, I crumbled several of the sticks into my morning yogurt and ate them. The incense burns well and has a genuine non-acrid sandalwood scent. But as to flavour, not even plain greek yogurt could make this incense taste good. The nicest thing I can say about the flavour us that it is "woody".I did not taste the leftover incense sticks after I crumbled the incense off of them. I did, however, snip them into thirds and they make delightful toothpicks.Don't buy this product for the flavour.

Make sure you know whether you’re getting Satya’s export version (my preference) or not.
This is the export version of these incense sticks, and they’re handmade. They smell as they should, of Sandalwood! The other version, also by Satya - still called Sandalwood, still in the yellow box but with subtly different detailing - are machine made, not specifically ‘export’, and smell unpleasant to me, a bit like cheap soap. . Make sure you are getting the version you prefer.

My Favourite Aroma...
Love, Love, Love these incense sticks. This brand is the only brand I have bought for years. I would give 10 stars if I was allowed.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!
I've been using Satya Incense for 20 years now but have only used their Original Nag Champa and Intense Hit... Both of which I love... I purchased the Sandalwood and Romantic recently and I'm so happy I did... Absolutely gorgeous aroma that lingers for hours after its gone out and in to the next day! Quality is great on the Satya incense sticks and Sandalwood will now be a regular buy for me... Highly recommend, and for a 12 box pack, it's a good deal!

Love the smell and it lasts.
This is my favourite smell and it lingers around the house for a few days. Even the box is giving off the smell in the room it is stored in. Best sticks I have ever bought.
