Great headphones. Great price.
Style: 5/5Comfort: 5/5Noise Reduction: 4/5Build Quality: 5/5Audio Quality:Lows: 4/5Mids: 5/5Highs: 4/5These headphones are wonderful. I lost a pair of headphones I had for the previous 5 years and was devastated. I wanted to stay in the $40 range for headphones, without sacrificing the quality I had in my Panasonic Slimz from before. In my office occupation, having headphones is really helpful to knock out the noise of the folks around me. These do the trick really well. They also look really sharp and are quality built. For sound quality, I compared them with several brands at a local office max. These performed better than every pair there, except for a pair that was selling for $100. Even the $60-$80 pairs sounded worse than these. And the other headphones in this price range like the SkullCandy UpRocks sounded just terrible by comparison. The vocals don't sound quite as crisp as my panasonic slimz, but the overall feeling of the music is more immersive and better. I really like these headphones.I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend these to anyone.

Better Headphones than you would expect.
I got these headphones about 4 months ago and waited to write a review to see how well they held up so i could formulate a good enough understanding of the product before i wrote a review. I'm currently a college student that needed a decent set of headphones without spending the 120$ i thought i would need to to get a good pair of headphones, i saw these pop up on my feed and for some reason i went ahead and pulled the trigger.Initial Thoughts: Right out of the box these headphones are aesthetically pleasing, the brushed stainless steel really does provide them with a cool look. As far as comfort goes the rubber pads around the ears are very soft and comfortable, its almost like they are already worn in, except the material is as good as new. The adjustable design allows each side to move to 11 different notches meaning regardless of your head size these things will fit. The only problem with the fit is sometimes the very bottom of the ear cups doesn't fit as tight as i would like it to, that being said they do still make contact with my skin, so it really isn't a big deal and can be fixed by moving the top of the headphones slightly higher onto the crown of my head. The sound in these headphones is way better than i would have expected. There is crisp and clear highs as well as booming bass, the only thing is that the mids are sometimes a bit muddy, but only when there's a lot of sound coming through.Durability: As I said above I have now had these headphones for a little over 4 months. I should let you know that i keep very good care of my tech things and my headphones most of all because i can't be anywhere without music. After 4 months the headphones work, look, and feel, exactly the same as they did out of the box. I have been very impressed by the durability of these things, I have had no issues with wire static or anything of that sort. Plus since the wire isn't permanently connected to the headphones if something ever did happen chances are it could be fixed by buying a new auxiliary chord. When the cups fold in to make the headphones a little bit more compact it doesn't feel cheap at all, the make of these things is way better than i would have expected.Overall I love these headphones and never even came close to regretting my decision to buy them. As with most things if you take care of them they will last, and for 29$ it isn't even that big of a risk. I definitely recommend getting this if you are ballin on a budget like I was. Now don't be confused, noise isolating technology simply means that the ear cups block noise only because they are an obstacle in the way of sound waves. That is something completely different than noise canceling. Do not get those things confused and you will not be disappointed.

Wow! - then - Oh no!
Finally! Headphones that can handle heavy bass without it stomping all over the music -- no mushiness -- there's more of a subwoofer effect where the bass is felt rather than heard. I've searched for just this type of headphone for years, but either the bass is overwhelming, or there's an indistinctness, a fuzziness involved where there should be clarity. My listening preference is a heavy bass presence, but finding phones that achieve this without overpowering the music and my ear drums seemed impossible. I've sampled a wide range of music with the Riot headphones -- classical to techno et al. -- and I'm extremely pleased with the crispness of the upper registers and the heavier bass line handling. Further, these phones managed to produce an unexpectedly good sound from my really-old-not-so-great-overly-compressed mp3 files. Finally, the bonus with these phones is the style and build quality. When I opened the box upon arrival, I was struck by the brushed metal and black minimalist design and the offset R on the band. The soft triangular shape of the ear pieces fit one's ears perfectly (vs. the common doughnut-shaped type). And, all the materials, down to the cord connections, look and feel top grade. Given that audio is extremely subjective, I can only describe my experience. But, for an all purpose headphone that can successfully manage beat, bass, and higher registers, Riot Project Headphones deliver.Update - After just 9 months and minimal use, the wire connection to the jack malfunctioned creating a static sound, intermittent audio, soft audio, and no audio at all. I suppose the connection is shorting out, or it's partially disconnected somehow. If I wiggle the wire, sometimes audio is restored, but then it's lost again if the wire moves at all. I immediately e-mailed the manufacturer and requested replacement headphones (described the problem, the minimal use, and the date of purchase) - I never received a response. This is too bad - I loved these headphones.
