There are better backup cameras
Just installed this in my nissan frontier. There are better backup cameras, but for the price I think you'll struggle to find something comparable. The video cable doesn't come with a wire to trigger the screen when + power is detected (when you put it in reverse), so you will have to find another way to trigger your double din to show the feed. I just ran a wire with my video cable and it wasn't really any more effort.Six Month Update:The screws up the top of the unit have rusted. I took my truck through a carwash and the video now is very cloudy. For $30 however, you still can't get something comparable.

Not a CCD quality camera image, but a good value for a CMOS type license plate camera.
I just installed this on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. The rear license plate bracket on the Jeep is a bit odd, in that it's more of a plastic box where the plate slides under two plastic tabs that hold it in place on the right-hand side, and you screw in the top and bottom left side of the plate after that. It has an LED light that sticks out in the top, middle area, just above the plate, that illuminates it at night.So... mounting this plate bracket on top of the mounting "box" is a bit troublesome. The LED light part of the box gets in the way of the camera along the top part of this frame and prevents it from fitting right. The solution? I unscrewed 4 little screws on the back of this frame, so I could remove the camera, flip it upside down, and screw it back in place again. That let me mount this frame on my Jeep upside-down, while the camera still displayed a right-side up image.I'm displaying the video from this on a TrailDash unit in my Jeep right now (a product which allows programming Wranglers with custom tunes, monitoring things like transmission oil temperature and engine RPM, etc. -- but works as a reverse camera monitor too). The video quality is adequate, and the distance marks the camera overlays on it are fairly useful too.If I was going to do this project over again, I'd spend more for a CCD plate camera vs. this CMOS camera model. (CMOS technology like this one has tends to give more of a washed out image, and doesn't perform quite as well in low light conditions.) But for the price, I can't really complain. The included video camera RCA cable was long enough to reach all the way from the back of my Jeep up to the middle of the dash - which was a plus. (I was afraid it might be too short.) If you want a reverse camera on a budget - you can do worse than getting one of these.

A nice camera. Well built metal frame
A nice camera. Well built metal frame. Viewing angle is very wide. Now I'm able to back my tow ball to locate it directly under the receiver on my trailer, eliminating the need to wrestle the trailer to the tow ball, also eliminating hitting the receiver with the bumper.I wired it directly to the positive wire on the reverse light, and routed the AV cable that came with the monitor (a separate purchase) under the cabin and through the footwell. Should probably be included on all new vehicles.
