A few days in and its an average power bank that has the benefit of being water and dust resistant due to the dust covers on the usb ports. The light is more of a novelty feature and not very bright plus the blinking/SOS feature does not work on the unit I got. I was happy to see that it charged my galaxy S7 and showed it still had atleast 25 % charge remaining. However the power indicator is not accurate and it seems as if it's anything below full charge the indicator shows one less power level when charging is started from the power bank. Also had it charging via the solar panel (as indicated by the green light) for two 10 hour work days and it never went above three charge indicator lights and when i began to charge my Galaxy S7 those three lights went to two and down to discharged quickly only charging the same S7 by about 20 percent. I guess given the small size of the panel and how much sun it gets one cant expect too much. I was hoping that this being a different design to many of the other solar power banks found on amazon, some of which appear to have been made by one company and just have a different brand name on them, that I could expect a more accurate mAh rating, perhaps better solar charging capabilities, and a more usable light (like some solar chargers that appear to have a light more similar to a cellphone light or even with a reflector).Update: I should have updated this sooner but just want to write this isnt a product i would recommend. Go with a regular Anker or similar brand power bank. The charging is slow and after charging my phone 3 times with this unit one of the ports doesnt work. Itll start charging and then shut off after 30 seconds as if it doesnt recognise that its connected to my phone. It may also be partially due to the poor quality usb cable provided which is too short.

I love this gadget! I can charge it from an outlet or by the sun. It has two USB ports so that you can charge two devises at the same time. The charge happens pretty fast and the lights on the front let me know how charged the devise is or if it's charging by the sun. I recommend this for anyone who likes to hike or do outdoor activity that needs to be able to charge things.

The cord is very finicky and has to be plugged in just so to work, which isn't great when I'm hiking.

Ive taken it on a few trips and this has charged my iPad Air, and iPhone on a one way trip to the east coast on one charge! Has worked great in the car when having to recharge it by sitting it out on the dash! I've been wanting to use it more often when we go hiking but it seems we have forgotten it at home. I will repost with any changes.

I ordered three different sized versions of this brand of solar charger for our family's upcoming camping trip and have been very impressed. I will be sharing the same view point for each of them due to my experience with them so far. The quality of this solar charger was just as stated in the description but actually exceeded my expectations once I got it in my hands. The soft none slip feel is very comforting and it has a very solid well built feel. I have owned other solar chargers before that have a cheap rubbery feel around the edges that would not stay attached and a hollow feel to them. This charger was fully charged when I got it, so I was able to start using it right out of the box. The one I received is a limited edition version that included a lightning adapter for my iphone and a very neat little carry case for the charger cable, lightning adapter or whatever else you want to keep with your charger. There description says there chargers are built for some of the toughest conditions on earth and great attention is put in to quality control, now I see why. I had never heard of Eskimo Power before but I am very impressed with the quality of there product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality solar charger.

I bought this charger for the solar feature because I do a lot of hiking and I didn't want to have to worry about having to find a power source to recharge my charger. You do have an option of charging it via a power source also. So far it works great, I can load up my pack and head outdoors and have it charging as I hike, then when I need to charge my phone I just connect it and presto.
