Never pull a mane again. Works like a charm and super easy to use.

They stopped making the plastic mane thinning comb I used to buy, so I decided to give this a try. It worked in a similar fashion, had bristles and beneath them was a razor blade which made mane pulling a breeze. This tool works similar to that with the added bonus that it isn't disposable. I haven't had it for very long at this point, so I cannot speak to its durability yet, but the quality seems good. I use this comb as a pulling comb vs a thinning comb and it works well for that (I don't like having to really yank on my horse's neck to shorten his mane). It allows me to pull the mane very quickly and the finished product is very nice. The little metal bristles are sharp and then beneath them is another straight edge which is also sharp and allows the mane to be cut with little pressure. Be careful using it as it is sharp. You will have to get used to using a tool like this so the mane doesn't look like it was cut straight across. Overall, I really like this tool and hope it holds up over time. Much better than the traditional mane pulling combs.

I really like using this for some of my horses that cannot tolerate me pulling.

So far.....I could not be more pleased. We have a yellow lab who is an indoor, spoiled "lap dog" that sheds A LOT. $25 to the groomer and she would work her magic with a tool that she said was no longer on the market, but it sure seemed to help the shedding for awhile. I stumbled across an internet reference to your product, ordered it, used it immediately and it removed several large wads of hair and my girl didn't seem to mind at all! Even though it may be marketed for horses, it sure does seem to work on her (just be sure to use it outside or be prepared for a bit of a mess). I am so pleased with the results. Thanks!

Just what I was looking for. It is great quality and easy to use. I've only used it a couple times since purchase so not sure how long the blade stays sharp.

love the thinning knife! great quality, nice wood handle and easy to use. Maine looks great. have not had it long enough to say how long it will stay sharp, But based on quality I would say it will last.

Not as sharp as I was hoping so you really have to pull
