I ordered this as a gift for a friend's new home. Despite the fact that many reviewers complained about the large sticker on the tray that was difficult if not impossible to remove, we liked the design and thought we could remove the sticker. We peeled it off carefully, using a tweezer, and then removed the residue with Xylol, an enamel solvent. Everything came off cleanly and the tray looks perfect, so don't let the sticker scare you off from purchasing this item.

Reviewed by Patty: I received my tray today. I have to say, I was a bit shocked at how it arrived. It was simply in a plastic bag, no outer box to protect it and it came in an envelope, not even a shipping box with the slightest bit of protection. Consequently, when it arrived, the bottom mat was slightly damaged. I will probably have to put a different mat on the bottom. Laughingly, the guest towels that I ordered, from a different company, were protected way better than this item. And, they are paper. Not anything that can be damaged. Seems a bit backwards. As far as the item itself, it does look like the picture. However, it is described as a sturdy metal. Metal? That is questionable. While it looks nice for now, I am not sure about it's durability. The bottom certainly will not stand up to a lot use, or water. I am not going to send it back because the area it is going to be used in won't see a lot of activity. However, if it were a heavily used bathroom, I would send it back. It's a hard call on whether or not I would recommend it. As I mentioned, for now it "looks" fine, I am just not sure about durability. I would certainly recommend considering the amount of usage the item will get before you purchase it.

I ordered two of these. I sent one back but would have sent both if I could have. First, they are plastic. It may say that in the description, but I completely missed it. If you aren't bothered by the plastic, then you might like it.Second, there is huge sticker covering almost the whole top surface of towel holder that DOES NOT want to come off. I soaked it for two days with goo-gone, and still had to scrape it. I damaged the "finish" a little. It was WAY too much trouble for a little towel holder. It should have an easily removable sticker, or at least put the sticker on the bottom.

The product is great. It feels and looks like a high quality product. It's large enough for cloth guest towels and of course, for the disposable towels. It's heavy and nicely covered on the bottom surface. The material "Made of steel with rust-proof split brushed and chrome finish" has the appearance of stainless steel. Hopefully it will maintain a 'rust-free' surface.The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how terribly difficult it was to get the large "mDesign" label off of the top surface, especially since I didn't want to leave scratches from the process. Love this! It is a much better product, both in appearance and quality, than I expected. It looks beautiful on my sink counter with my decorative paper hand towels for all guests. In this time of trying to stay as hygienic as possible, it is a perfect and healthy addition to my bathroom decor, keeping all my visitors and myself a little bit safer. And it is much more attractive than those sold in decorative cardboard boxes I had to use prior to this purchase. I was also surprised by the ability to purchase the towels in bulk at a very reasonable price and good quality.

This towel holder fit in so nicely with our brushed nickel facets & accessories. We really like the design which is so difference frame the usual wire weave that everyone else seems to buy. I shined this up with a little WD-40, Looks fabulous! Definitely purchase the hand towels that are recommended for this holder. They are terrific, too.

I already had one for hand towels and really liked the look of it so I ordered another to put on the toilet top for candles, awesome.

This day and age having disposable bathroom towels for guests is a must. No one wants to use a hand towel at someone else's house, and I like knowing my hand towels have been used by just me. So..... This is a classy solution to offer paper disposables. You won't be disappointed in the quality either!

It's plastic, do not expect metal. However looks very nice in my bathroom holding the paper hand towels for the guests

This is exactly what it looks like. Placed it on top of the loo and it stayed put. Looks good in the bathroom. Note that there is no "bar" to keep the paper towels in place, so you cannot put a huge number of towels in one go

Nice. Elegant holder.Rubber bottom prevents sliding but the pad was slightly coming off because the glue holding it down was not spread on evenly. No big deal though. I fixed it myself.Otherwise, great quality and looks great!
