Excellent charger. Batteries are high quality and everything is good.The real reason to review is that about 2 weeks in the charger died, one port stopped working.Horizon Hobby does the warranty, and they were easy to deal with. Sent in for inspection, received a new replacement. Easy peasy.

I purchased this kit for my 1/8 Kraton. The charger is very easy to use and everything seems well built including the batteries. The charger provides useful battery info which is nice and takes about 20min to charge both batteries.

These batteries are great. Im running the Arrma vorteks and I enjoy the telemetry to my control. Runtime is pretty good for the size. The charger is great, charges these batteries from low voltage to full in about 35 minutes. Keeps track of each smart battery cycle times, temp, and conditions everything they are plugged in. Great feature knowing the possible dangers that these batteries have if charged or used incorrectly.

Yeah I thought this setup was the latest smart battery technology. But it isn’t the g2 platform you have to update charger with a spektrum update cable sold separately. I thought you just plugged it in and the charger knew what to do without balance port. With the spektrum smart battery plug the one wire that’s in middle of plug the smart technology reads it and is advertised you can charge a spektrum smart battery up without plugging in balance port. Well it works on g2 smart batteries but not the first gen batteries this bundle comes with you still have to use balance ports to charge that’s my reasons not giving it 5 stars. The setup does work and charges the batteries quickly.
